ਗੋਂਡ ॥

Gond:

ਧੰਨੁ ਗੁਪਾਲ ਧੰਨੁ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥

dhann gupāl dhann guradēv .

Blessed is the Lord of the World. Blessed is the Divine Guru.

ਧੰਨੁ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਭੂਖੇ ਕਵਲੁ ਟਹਕੇਵ ॥

dhann anād bhūkhē kaval tahakēv .

Blessed is that grain, by which the heart-lotus of the hungry blossoms forth.

ਧਨੁ ਓਇ ਸੰਤ ਜਿਨ ਐਸੀ ਜਾਨੀ ॥

dhan ōi sant jin aisī jānī .

Blessed are those Saints, who know this.

ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਮਿਲਿਬੋ ਸਾਰਿੰਗਪਾਨੀ ॥੧॥

tin kau milibō sāringapānī .1.

Meeting with them, one meets the Lord, the Sustainer of the World. ||1||

ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖ ਤੇ ਹੋਇ ਅਨਾਦਿ ॥

ād purakh tē hōi anād .

This grain comes from the Primal Lord God.

ਜਪੀਐ ਨਾਮੁ ਅੰਨ ਕੈ ਸਾਦਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

japīai nām ann kai sād .1. rahāu .

One chants the Naam, the Name of the Lord, only when he tastes this grain. ||1||Pause||

ਜਪੀਐ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੀਐ ਅੰਨੁ ॥

japīai nām japīai ann .

Meditate on the Naam, and meditate on this grain.

ਅੰਭੈ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨੀਕਾ ਵੰਨੁ ॥

anbhai kai sang nīkā vann .

Mixed with water, its taste becomes sublime.

ਅੰਨੈ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਜੋ ਨਰ ਹੋਵਹਿ ॥

annai bāhar jō nar hōvah .

One who abstains from this grain,

ਤੀਨਿ ਭਵਨ ਮਹਿ ਅਪਨੀ ਖੋਵਹਿ ॥੨॥

tīn bhavan mah apanī khōvah .2.

loses his honor in the three worlds. ||2||

ਛੋਡਹਿ ਅੰਨੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਪਾਖੰਡ ॥

shōdah ann karah pākhand .

One who discards this grain, is practicing hypocrisy.

ਨਾ ਸੋਹਾਗਨਿ ਨਾ ਓਹਿ ਰੰਡ ॥

nā sōhāgan nā ōh rand .

She is neither a happy soul-bride, nor a widow.

ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਬਕਤੇ ਦੂਧਾਧਾਰੀ ॥

jag mah bakatē dūdhādhārī .

Those who claim in this world that they live on milk alone,

ਗੁਪਤੀ ਖਾਵਹਿ ਵਟਿਕਾ ਸਾਰੀ ॥੩॥

gupatī khāvah vatikā sārī .3.

secretly eat whole loads of food. ||3||

ਅੰਨੈ ਬਿਨਾ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਸੁਕਾਲੁ ॥

annai binā n hōi sukāl .

Without this grain, time does not pass in peace.

ਤਜਿਐ ਅੰਨਿ ਨ ਮਿਲੈ ਗੁਪਾਲੁ ॥

tajiai ann n milai gupāl .

Forsaking this grain, one does not meet the Lord of the World.

ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਹਮ ਐਸੇ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥

kah kabīr ham aisē jāniā .

Says Kabeer, this I know:

ਧੰਨੁ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੪॥੮॥੧੧॥

dhann anād thākur man māniā .4.8.11.

blessed is that grain, which brings faith in the Lord and Master to the mind. ||4||8||11||
