Gond, Fifth Mehl:
ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰ ਬੋਹਿਥ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ॥
bhav sāgar bōhith har charan .
The Lord's Feet are the boat to cross over the terrifying world-ocean.
ਸਿਮਰਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਫਿਰਿ ਮਰਣ ॥
simarat nām nāhī phir maran .
Meditating in remembrance on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, he does not die again.
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਰਮਤ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਮ ਪੰਥ ॥
har gun ramat nāhī jam panth .
Chanting the Glorious Praises of the Lord, he does not have to walk on the Path of Death.
ਮਹਾ ਬੀਚਾਰ ਪੰਚ ਦੂਤਹ ਮੰਥ ॥੧॥
mahā bīchār panch dūtah manth .1.
Contemplating the Supreme Lord, the five demons are conquered. ||1||
ਤਉ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਪੂਰਨ ਨਾਥ ॥
tau saranāī pūran nāth .
I have entered Your Sanctuary, O Perfect Lord and Master.
ਜੰਤ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਉ ਦੀਜਹਿ ਹਾਥ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jant apanē kau dījah hāth .1. rahāu .
Please give Your hand to Your creatures. ||1||Pause||
ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਣ ॥
simrit sāsatr bēd purān .
The Simritees, Shaastras, Vedas and Puraanas
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕਾ ਕਰਹਿ ਵਖਿਆਣ ॥
pārabraham kā karah vakhiān .
expound upon the Supreme Lord God.
ਜੋਗੀ ਜਤੀ ਬੈਸਨੋ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ॥
jōgī jatī baisanō rāmadās .
The Yogis, celibates, Vaishnavs and followers of Ram Das
ਮਿਤਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਅਬਿਨਾਸ ॥੨॥
mit nāhī braham abinās .2.
cannot find the limits of the Eternal Lord God. ||2||
ਕਰਣ ਪਲਾਹ ਕਰਹਿ ਸਿਵ ਦੇਵ ॥
karan palāh karah siv dēv .
Shiva and the gods lament and moan,
ਤਿਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵ ॥
til nahī būjhah alakh abhēv .
but they do not understand even a tiny bit of the unseen and unknown Lord.
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਇ ॥
prēm bhagat jis āpē dēi .
One whom the Lord Himself blesses with loving devotional worship,
ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਕੇਈ ਕੇਇ ॥੩॥
jag mah viralē kēī kēi .3.
is very rare in this world. ||3||
ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਗੁਣੁ ਕਿਛਹੂ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
mōh niragun gun kishahū nāh .
I am worthless, with absolutely no virtue at all;
ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਤੇਰੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੀ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
sarab nidhān tērī drisatī māh .
all treasures are in Your Glance of Grace.
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਦੀਨੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵ ॥
nānak dīn jāchai tērī sēv .
Nanak, the meek, desires only to serve You.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੀਜੈ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥੪॥੧੫॥੧੭॥
kar kirapā dījai guradēv .4.15.17.
Please be merciful, and grant him this blessing, O Divine Guru. ||4||15||17||
