ਲਾਲ ਨਾਮ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥
lāl nām jā kai bharē bhandār .
His treasure is overflowing with the rubies of the Name.
ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਦੇਵੈ ਆਧਾਰ ॥੩॥
sagal ghatā dēvai ādhār .3.
He gives Support to all hearts. ||3||
ਸਤਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਹੈ ਨਾਉ ॥
sat purakh jā kō hai nāu .
The Name is the True Primal Being;
ਮਿਟਹਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਅਘ ਨਿਮਖ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਉ ॥
mitah kōt agh nimakh jas gāu .
millions of sins are washed away in an instant, singing His Praises.
ਬਾਲ ਸਖਾਈ ਭਗਤਨ ਕੋ ਮੀਤ ॥
bāl sakhāī bhagatan kō mīt .
The Lord God is your best friend, your playmate from earliest childhood.
ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਿਤ ਚੀਤ ॥੪॥੧॥੩॥
prān adhār nānak hit chīt .4.1.3.
He is the Support of the breath of life; O Nanak, He is love, He is consciousness. ||4||1||3||

He fashioned the soul and the breath of life,
ਮਾਟੀ ਮਹਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਰਖੀ ਨਿਵਾਜਿ ॥
mātī mah jōt rakhī nivāj .
and infused His Light into the dust;
ਬਰਤਨ ਕਉ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਭੋਜਨ ਭੋਗਾਇ ॥
baratan kau sabh kish bhōjan bhōgāi .
He exalted you and gave you everything to use, and food to eat and enjoy
ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਤਜਿ ਮੂੜੇ ਕਤ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥
sō prabh taj mūrē kat jāi .1.
- how can you forsake that God, you fool! Where else will you go? ||1||
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੀ ਲਾਗਉ ਸੇਵ ॥
pārabraham kī lāgau sēv .
Commit yourself to the service of the Transcendent Lord.
ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਸੁਝੈ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur tē sujhai niranjan dēv .1. rahāu .
Through the Guru, one understands the Immaculate, Divine Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਏ ਰੰਗ ਅਨਿਕ ਪਰਕਾਰ ॥
jin kīē rang anik parakār .
He created plays and dramas of all sorts;
ਓਪਤਿ ਪਰਲਉ ਨਿਮਖ ਮਝਾਰ ॥
ōpat paralau nimakh majhār .
He creates and destroys in an instant;
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
jā kī gat mit kahī n jāi .
His state and condition cannot be described.
ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੨॥
sō prabh man mērē sadā dhiāi .2.
Meditate forever on that God, O my mind. ||2||
ਆਇ ਨ ਜਾਵੈ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਧਨੀ ॥
āi n jāvai nihachal dhanī .
The unchanging Lord does not come or go.
ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਨਾ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਕੇਤਕ ਗਨੀ ॥
bēant gunā tā kē kētak ganī .
His Glorious Virtues are infinite; how many of them can I count?
