Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:
ਜਿਸੁ ਊਪਰਿ ਹੋਵਤ ਦਇਆਲੁ ॥
jis ūpar hōvat daiāl .
One who is blessed by the Lord's Mercy,
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਕਾਟੈ ਸੋ ਕਾਲੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har simarat kātai sō kāl .1. rahāu .
passes his time in contemplative meditation. ||1||Pause||
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਭਜੀਐ ਗੋਪਾਲੁ ॥
sādhasang bhajīai gōpāl .
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, meditate, and vibrate upon the Lord of the Universe.
ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਤੂਟੈ ਜਮ ਜਾਲੁ ॥੧॥
gun gāvat tūtai jam jāl .1.
Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, the noose of death is cut away. ||1||
ਆਪੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਆਪੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲ ॥
āpē satigur āpē pratipāl .
He Himself is the True Guru, and He Himself is the Cherisher.
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਸਾਧ ਰਵਾਲ ॥੨॥੬॥੨੪॥
nānak jāchai sādh ravāl .2.6.24.
Nanak begs for the dust of the feet of the Holy. ||2||6||24||
