Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:
ਸਰਬ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਕੀਏ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥
sarab kaliān kīē guradēv .
The Divine Guru has blessed me with total happiness.
ਸੇਵਕੁ ਅਪਨੀ ਲਾਇਓ ਸੇਵ ॥
sēvak apanī lāiō sēv .
He has linked His servant to His service.
ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਜਪਿ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵ ॥੧॥
bighan n lāgai jap alakh abhēv .1.
No obstacles block my path, meditating on the incomprehensible, inscrutable Lord. ||1||
ਧਰਤਿ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਭਈ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਏ ॥
dharat punīt bhaī gun gāē .
The soil has been sanctified, singing the Glories of His Praises.
ਦੁਰਤੁ ਗਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
durat gaiā har nām dhiāē .1. rahāu .
The sins are eradicated, meditating on the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਂਈ ਰਵਿਆ ਆਪਿ ॥
sabhanī thānhī raviā āp .
He Himself is pervading everywhere;
ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਵਡ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥
ād jugād jā kā vad paratāp .
from the very beginning, and throughout the ages, His Glory has been radiantly manifest.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਸੰਤਾਪੁ ॥੨॥
gur parasād n hōi santāp .2.
By Guru's Grace, sorrow does not touch me. ||2||
ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਲਗੇ ਮਨਿ ਮੀਠੇ ॥
gur kē charan lagē man mīthē .
The Guru's Feet seem so sweet to my mind.
ਨਿਰਬਿਘਨ ਹੋਇ ਸਭ ਥਾਂਈ ਵੂਠੇ ॥
nirabighan hōi sabh thānhī vūthē .
He is unobstructed, dwelling everywhere.
ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੂਠੇ ॥੩॥
sabh sukh pāē satigur tūthē .3.
I found total peace, when the Guru was pleased. ||3||
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਰਖਵਾਲੇ ॥
pārabraham prabh bhaē rakhavālē .
The Supreme Lord God has become my Savior.
ਜਿਥੈ ਕਿਥੈ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਨਾਲੇ ॥
jithai kithai dīsah nālē .
Wherever I look, I see Him there with me.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਖਸਮਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ ॥੪॥੨॥
nānak dās khasam pratipālē .4.2.
O Nanak, the Lord and Master protects and cherishes His slaves. ||4||2||
