Soohee, Fifth Mehl:
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰਾ ॥
pārabraham paramēsar satigur āpē karanaihārā .
The True Guru is the Transcendent Lord, the Supreme Lord God; He Himself is the Creator Lord.
ਚਰਣ ਧੂੜਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਮਾਗੈ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
charan dhūr tērī sēvak māgai tērē darasan kau balihārā .1.
Your servant begs for the dust of Your feet. I am a sacrifice to the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਜਿਉ ਰਾਖਹਿ ਤਿਉ ਰਹੀਐ ॥
mērē rām rāi jiu rākhah tiu rahīai .
O my Sovereign Lord, as You keep me, so do I remain.
ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਵਹਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਲਹੀਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tudh bhāvai tā nām japāvah sukh tērā ditā lahīai .1. rahāu .
When it pleases You, I chant Your Name. You alone can grant me peace. ||1||Pause||
ਮੁਕਤਿ ਭੁਗਤਿ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਇਹਿ ॥
mukat bhugat jugat tērī sēvā jis tūn āp karāih .
Liberation, comfort and proper lifestyle come from serving You; You alone cause us to serve You.
ਤਹਾ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੁ ਜਹ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਸਰਧਾ ਲਾਇਹਿ ॥੨॥
tahā baikunth jah kīratan tērā tūn āpē saradhā lāih .2.
That place is heaven, where the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises are sung. You Yourself instill faith into us. ||2||
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀਵਾ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਹਾਲਾ ॥
simar simar simar nām jīvā tan man hōi nihālā .
Meditating, meditating, meditating in remembrance on the Naam, I live; my mind and body are enraptured.
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਧੋਇ ਧੋਇ ਪੀਵਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥੩॥
charan kamal tērē dhōi dhōi pīvā mērē satigur dīn daiālā .3.
I wash Your Lotus Feet, and drink in this water, O my True Guru, O Merciful to the meek. ||3||
ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ਜਾਈ ਉਸੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਤੁਮਰੈ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਆਇਆ ॥
kurabān jāī us vēlā suhāvī jit tumarai duārai āiā .
I am a sacrifice to that most wonderful time when I came to Your Door.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੮॥੫੫॥
nānak kau prabh bhaē kripālā satigur pūrā pāiā .4.8.55.
God has become compassionate to Nanak; I have found the Perfect True Guru. ||4||8||55||
