ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Soohee, Fifth Mehl:
ਤਉ ਮੈ ਆਇਆ ਸਰਨੀ ਆਇਆ ॥
tau mai āiā saranī āiā .
I have come to You. I have come to Your Sanctuary.
ਭਰੋਸੈ ਆਇਆ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਆਇਆ ॥
bharōsai āiā kirapā āiā .
I have come to place my faith in You. I have come seeking Mercy.
ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਗੁਰਹਿ ਪਠਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jiu bhāvai tiu rākhah suāmī mārag gurah pathāiā .1. rahāu .
If it pleases You, save me, O my Lord and Master. The Guru has placed me upon the Path. ||1||Pause||
ਮਹਾ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਮਾਇਆ ॥ ਜੈਸੇ ਪਵਨੁ ਝੁਲਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
mahā dutar māiā . jaisē pavan jhulāiā .1.
Maya is very treacherous and difficult to pass through. It is like a violent wind-storm. ||1||
ਸੁਨਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਹੀ ਡਰਾਇਆ ॥
sun sun hī darāiā .
I am so afraid to hear
ਕਰਰੋ ਧ੍ਰਮਰਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
kararō dhramarāiā .2.
that the Righteous Judge of Dharma is so strict and stern. ||2||
ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪਾਇਆ ॥
grih andh kūpāiā .
The world is a deep, dark pit;
ਪਾਵਕੁ ਸਗਰਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
pāvak sagarāiā .3.
it is all on fire. ||3||
ਗਹੀ ਓਟ ਸਾਧਾਇਆ ॥
gahī ōt sādhāiā .
I have grasped the Support of the Holy Saints.
ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
nānak har dhiāiā .
Nanak meditates on the Lord.
ਅਬ ਮੈ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੩॥੪੬॥
ab mai pūrā pāiā .4.3.46.
Now, I have found the Perfect Lord. ||4||3||46||
