Soohee, Fifth Mehl:
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤਰੈ ਭੈ ਸਾਗਰੁ ॥
sādhasang tarai bhai sāgar .
Cross over the terrifying world-ocean in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਰਤਨਾਗਰੁ ॥੧॥
har har nām simar ratanāgar .1.
Remember in meditation the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, the source of jewels. ||1||
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ॥
simar simar jīvā nārāin .
Remembering, remembering the Lord in meditation, I live.
ਦੂਖ ਰੋਗ ਸੋਗ ਸਭਿ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਪਾਪ ਤਜਾਇਣ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
dūkh rōg sōg sabh binasē gur pūrē mil pāp tajāin .1. rahāu .
All pain, disease and suffering is dispelled, meeting the Perfect Guru; sin has been eradicated. ||1||Pause||
ਜੀਵਨ ਪਦਵੀ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ॥
jīvan padavī har kā nāu .
The immortal status is obtained through the Name of the Lord;
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਸਾਚੁ ਸੁਆਉ ॥੨॥
man tan niramal sāch suāu .2.
the mind and body become spotless and pure, which is the true purpose of life. ||2||
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥
āth pahar pārabraham dhiāīai .
Twenty-four hours a day, meditate on the Supreme Lord God.
ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਤੁ ਹੋਇ ਤਾ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੩॥
pūrab likhat hōi tā pāīai .3.
By pre-ordained destiny, the Name is obtained. ||3||
ਸਰਣਿ ਪਏ ਜਪਿ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
saran paē jap dīn daiālā .
I have entered His Sanctuary, and I meditate on the Lord, Merciful to the meek.
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਸੰਤ ਰਵਾਲਾ ॥੪॥੨੮॥੩੪॥
nānak jāchai sant ravālā .4.28.34.
Nanak longs for the dust of the Saints. ||4||28||34||
