ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Soohee, Fifth Mehl:
ਗੁਰ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਊਪਰਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈਐ ॥
gur apunē ūpar bal jāīai .
I am a sacrifice to my True Guru.
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਈਐ ॥੧॥
āth pahar har har jas gāīai .1.
Twenty-four hours a day, I sing the Praises of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||
ਸਿਮਰਉ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
simarau sō prabh apanā suāmī .
Meditate in remembrance on God, your Lord and Master.
ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sagal ghatā kā antarajāmī .1. rahāu .
He is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of all hearts. ||1||Pause||
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥
charan kamal siu lāgī prīt .
So love the Lord's Lotus Feet,
ਸਾਚੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਰੀਤਿ ॥੨॥
sāchī pūran niramal rīt .2.
and live a lifestyle which is true, perfect and spotless. ||2||
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਵਸੈ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥
sant prasād vasai man māhī .
By the Grace of the Saints, the Lord comes to dwell within the mind,
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਜਾਹੀ ॥੩॥
janam janam kē kilavikh jāhī .3.
and the sins of countless incarnations are eradicated. ||3||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
kar kirapā prabh dīn daiālā .
Please be Merciful, O God, O Merciful to the meek.
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਮਾਗੈ ਸੰਤ ਰਵਾਲਾ ॥੪॥੧੭॥੨੩॥
nānak māgai sant ravālā .4.17.23.
Nanak begs for the dust of the Saints. ||4||17||23||
