ਕਵਨ ਕਾਜ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥
kavan kāj māiā vadiāī .
What is the use of the glory of Maya?
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਬਿਨਸਤ ਬਾਰ ਨ ਕਾਈ ॥੧॥
jā kau binasat bār n kāī .1.
It disappears in no time at all. ||1||
ਇਹੁ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਸੋਵਤ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
ih supanā sōvat nahī jānai .
This is a dream, but the sleeper does not know it.
ਅਚੇਤ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਮਹਿ ਲਪਟਾਨੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
achēt bivasathā mah lapatānai .1. rahāu .
In his unconscious state, he clings to it. ||1||Pause||
ਮਹਾ ਮੋਹਿ ਮੋਹਿਓ ਗਾਵਾਰਾ ॥
mahā mōh mōhiō gāvārā .
The poor fool is enticed by the great attachments of the world.
ਪੇਖਤ ਪੇਖਤ ਊਠਿ ਸਿਧਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
pēkhat pēkhat ūth sidhārā .2.
Gazing upon them, watching them, he must still arise and depart. ||2||
ਊਚ ਤੇ ਊਚ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ ॥
ūch tē ūch tā kā darabārā .
The Royal Court of His Darbaar is the highest of the high.
ਕਈ ਜੰਤ ਬਿਨਾਹਿ ਉਪਾਰਾ ॥੩॥
kaī jant bināh upārā .3.
He creates and destroys countless beings. ||3||
ਦੂਸਰ ਹੋਆ ਨਾ ਕੋ ਹੋਈ ॥
dūsar hōā nā kō hōī .
There has never been any other, and there shall never be.
ਜਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਏਕੋ ਸੋਈ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੧੬॥
jap nānak prabh ēkō sōī .4.10.16.
O Nanak, meditate on the One God. ||4||10||16||
