ਬੈਰਾੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥

Bairaaree, Fourth Mehl:
ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਤ ਧਿਆਇ ॥
jap man har har nām nit dhiāi .
O my mind, chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har; meditate on it continually.
ਜੋ ਇਛਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਆਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jō ishah sōī phal pāvah phir dūkh n lāgai āi .1. rahāu .
You shall obtain the fruits of your heart's desires, and pain shall never touch you again. ||1||Pause||
ਸੋ ਜਪੁ ਸੋ ਤਪੁ ਸਾ ਬ੍ਰਤ ਪੂਜਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਗਾਇ ॥
sō jap sō tap sā brat pūjā jit har siu prīt lagāi .
That is chanting, that is deep meditation and austerity, that is fasting and worship, which inspires love for the Lord.
ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਭ ਝੂਠੀ ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਬਿਸਰਿ ਸਭ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥
bin har prīt hōr prīt sabh jhūthī ik khin mah bisar sabh jāi .1.
Without the Lord's Love, every other love is false; in an instant, it is all forgotten. ||1||
ਤੂ ਬੇਅੰਤੁ ਸਰਬ ਕਲ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
tū bēant sarab kal pūrā kish kīmat kahī n jāi .
You are infinite, the Master of all power; Your value cannot be described at all.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹਾਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਵੈ ਛਡਾਇ ॥੨॥੬॥
nānak saran tumhārī har jīu bhāvai tivai shadāi .2.6.
Nanak has come to Your Sanctuary, O Dear Lord; as it pleases You, save him. ||2||6||
