Jaitsree, Ninth Mehl:
ਮਨ ਰੇ ਸਾਚਾ ਗਹੋ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥
man rē sāchā gahō bichārā .
O mind, embrace true contemplation.
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਮਾਨੋ ਸਗਰੋ ਇਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
rām nām bin mithiā mānō sagarō ih sansārā .1. rahāu .
Without the Lord's Name, know that this whole world is false. ||1||Pause||
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਜੋਗੀ ਖੋਜਤ ਹਾਰੇ ਪਾਇਓ ਨਾਹਿ ਤਿਹ ਪਾਰਾ ॥
jā kau jōgī khōjat hārē pāiō nāh tih pārā .
The Yogis are tired of searching for Him, but they have not found His limit.
ਸੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੁਮ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਪਛਾਨੋ ਰੂਪ ਰੇਖ ਤੇ ਨਿਆਰਾ ॥੧॥
sō suāmī tum nikat pashānō rūp rēkh tē niārā .1.
You must understand that the Lord and Master is near at hand, but He has no form or feature. ||1||
ਪਾਵਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਗਤ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਕਬਹੂ ਨਾਹਿ ਸੰਭਾਰਾ ॥
pāvan nām jagat mai har kō kabahū nāh sanbhārā .
The Naam, the Name of the Lord is purifying in the world, and yet you never remember it.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਜਗ ਬੰਦਨ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਤੁਹਾਰਾ ॥੨॥੩॥
nānak saran pariō jag bandan rākhah birad tuhārā .2.3.
Nanak has entered the Sanctuary of the One, before whom the whole world bows down; please, preserve and protect me, by Your innate nature. ||2||3||
