Dhanaasaree, Fifth Mehl:
ਸੋ ਕਤ ਡਰੈ ਜਿ ਖਸਮੁ ਸਮ੍ਹਾਰੈ ॥
sō kat darai j khasam samhārai .
One who contemplates his Lord and Master - why should he be afraid?
ਡਰਿ ਡਰਿ ਪਚੇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਵੇਚਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
dar dar pachē manamukh vēchārē .1. rahāu .
The wretched self-willed manmukhs are ruined through fear and dread. ||1||Pause||
ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥
sir ūpar māt pitā guradēv .
The Divine Guru, my mother and father, is over my head.
ਸਫਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੇਵ ॥
saphal mūrat jā kī niramal sēv .
His image brings prosperity; serving Him, we become pure.
ਏਕੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਰਾਸਿ ॥
ēk niranjan jā kī rās .
The One Lord, the Immaculate Lord, is our capital.
ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਹੋਵਤ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥੧॥
mil sādhasangat hōvat paragās .1.
Joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, we are illumined and enlightened. ||1||
ਜੀਅਨ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਭ ਠਾਇ ॥
jīan kā dātā pūran sabh thāi .
The Giver of all beings is totally pervading everywhere.
ਕੋਟਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਇ ॥
kōt kalēs mitah har nāi .
Millions of pains are removed by the Lord's Name.
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਸਗਲਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਨਾਸੈ ॥
janam maran sagalā dukh nāsai .
All the pains of birth and death are taken away
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਬਾਸੈ ॥੨॥
guramukh jā kai man tan bāsai .2.
from the Gurmukh, within whose mind and body the Lord dwells. ||2||
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਲਏ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ॥
jis nō āp laē lar lāi .
He alone, whom the Lord has attached to the hem of His robe,
ਦਰਗਹ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਸੈ ਹੀ ਜਾਇ ॥
daragah milai tisai hī jāi .
obtains a place in the Court of the Lord.
ਸੇਈ ਭਗਤ ਜਿ ਸਾਚੇ ਭਾਣੇ ॥
sēī bhagat j sāchē bhānē .
They alone are devotees, who are pleasing to the True Lord.
ਜਮਕਾਲ ਤੇ ਭਏ ਨਿਕਾਣੇ ॥੩॥
jamakāl tē bhaē nikānē .3.
They are freed from the Messenger of Death. ||3||
ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਚੁ ਦਰਬਾਰੁ ॥
sāchā sāhib sach darabār .
True is the Lord, and True is His Court.
ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਉਣੁ ਕਹੈ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
kīmat kaun kahai bīchār .
Who can contemplate and describe His value?
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਗਲ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥
ghat ghat antar sagal adhār .
He is within each and every heart, the Support of all.
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਸੰਤ ਰੇਣਾਰੁ ॥੪॥੩॥੨੪॥
nānak jāchai sant rēnār .4.3.24.
Nanak begs for the dust of the Saints. ||4||3||24||
