ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
sōrath mahalā 5 .
Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl:
ਨਾਲਿ ਨਰਾਇਣੁ ਮੇਰੈ ॥
nāl narāin mērai .
The Lord is always with me.
ਜਮਦੂਤੁ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਨੇਰੈ ॥
jamadūt n āvai nērai .
The Messenger of Death does not approach me.
ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਾਖੈ ॥
kanth lāi prabh rākhai .
God holds me close in His embrace, and protects me.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਖੈ ॥੧॥
satigur kī sach sākhai .1.
True are the Teachings of the True Guru. ||1||
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ॥
gur pūrai pūrī kītī .
The Perfect Guru has done it perfectly.
ਦੁਸਮਨ ਮਾਰਿ ਵਿਡਾਰੇ ਸਗਲੇ ਦਾਸ ਕਉ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਦੀਤੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
dusaman mār vidārē sagalē dās kau sumat dītī .1. rahāu .
He has beaten and driven off my enemies, and given me, His slave, the sublime understanding of the neutral mind. ||1||Pause||
ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਸਗਲੇ ਥਾਨ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
prabh sagalē thān vasāē .
God has blessed all places with prosperity.
ਸੁਖਿ ਸਾਂਦਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਏ ॥
sukh sānhd phir āē .
I have returned again safe and sound.
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਏ ॥
nānak prabh saranāē .
Nanak has entered God's Sanctuary.
ਜਿਨਿ ਸਗਲੇ ਰੋਗ ਮਿਟਾਏ ॥੨॥੨੪॥੮੮॥
jin sagalē rōg mitāē .2.24.88.
It has eradicated all disease. ||2||24||88||
