ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl:
ਗੁਰ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥
gur apunē balihārī .
I am a sacrifice to my Guru.
ਜਿਨਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥
jin pūran paij savārī .
He has totally preserved my honor.
ਮਨ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
man chindiā phal pāiā .
I have obtained the fruits of my mind's desires.
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੧॥
prabh apunā sadā dhiāiā .1.
I meditate forever on my God. ||1||
ਸੰਤਹੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥
santah tis bin avar n kōī .
O Saints, without Him, there is no other at all.
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
karan kāran prabh sōī . rahāu .
He is God, the Cause of causes. ||Pause||
ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪਨੈ ਵਰ ਦੀਨੇ ॥
prabh apanai var dīnē .
My God has given me His Blessing.
ਸਗਲ ਜੀਅ ਵਸਿ ਕੀਨੇ ॥
sagal jī vas kīnē .
He has made all creatures subject to me.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
jan nānak nām dhiāiā .
Servant Nanak meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord,
ਤਾ ਸਗਲੇ ਦੂਖ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ॥੨॥੫॥੬੯॥
tā sagalē dūkh mitāiā .2.5.69.
and all his sorrows depart. ||2||5||69||
