ਤਿਨਿ ਸਗਲੀ ਲਾਜ ਰਾਖੀ ॥੩॥
tin sagalī lāj rākhī .3.
and through it, my honor was totally preserved. ||3||
ਬੋਲਾਇਆ ਬੋਲੀ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
bōlāiā bōlī tērā .
I speak as You cause me to speak;
ਤੂ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੇਰਾ ॥
tū sāhib gunī gahērā .
O Lord and Master, You are the ocean of excellence.
ਜਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਖੀ ॥
jap nānak nām sach sākhī .
Nanak chants the Naam, the Name of the Lord, according to the Teachings of Truth.
ਅਪੁਨੇ ਦਾਸ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਰਾਖੀ ॥੪॥੬॥੫੬॥
apunē dās kī paij rākhī .4.6.56.
God preserves the honor of His slaves. ||4||6||56||

Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl:
ਠਾਢਿ ਪਾਈ ਕਰਤਾਰੇ ॥
thādh pāī karatārē .
The Creator has brought utter peace to my home;
ਤਾਪੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਗਇਆ ਪਰਵਾਰੇ ॥
tāp shōd gaiā paravārē .
the fever has left my family.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਹੈ ਰਾਖੀ ॥
gur pūrai hai rākhī .
The Perfect Guru has saved us.
ਸਰਣਿ ਸਚੇ ਕੀ ਤਾਕੀ ॥੧॥
saran sachē kī tākī .1.
I sought the Sanctuary of the True Lord. ||1||
ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਆਪਿ ਹੋਆ ਰਖਵਾਲਾ ॥
paramēsar āp hōā rakhavālā .
The Transcendent Lord Himself has become my Protector.
ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਖ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਉਪਜੇ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਾਲਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sānht sahaj sukh khin mah upajē man hōā sadā sukhālā . rahāu .
Tranquility, intuitive peace and poise welled up in an instant, and my mind was comforted forever. ||Pause||
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਦਾਰੂ ॥
har har nām dīō dārū .
The Lord, Har, Har, gave me the medicine of His Name,
ਤਿਨਿ ਸਗਲਾ ਰੋਗੁ ਬਿਦਾਰੂ ॥
tin sagalā rōg bidārū .
which has cured all disease.
ਅਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
apanī kirapā dhārī .
He extended His Mercy to me,
ਤਿਨਿ ਸਗਲੀ ਬਾਤ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੨॥
tin sagalī bāt savārī .2.
and resolved all these affairs. ||2||
ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪਨਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਸਮਾਰਿਆ ॥
prabh apanā birad samāriā .
God confirmed His loving nature;
ਹਮਰਾ ਗੁਣੁ ਅਵਗੁਣੁ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥
hamarā gun avagun n bīchāriā .
He did not take my merits or demerits into account.
ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਭਇਓ ਸਾਖੀ ॥
gur kā sabad bhaiō sākhī .
The Word of the Guru's Shabad has become manifest,
