ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl:
ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦਾ ॥
sūkh sahaj ānandā .
Celestial peace and bliss have come,
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵੰਦਾ ॥
prabh miliō man bhāvandā .
meeting God, who is so pleasing to my mind.
ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
pūrai gur kirapā dhārī .
The Perfect Guru showered me with His Mercy,
ਤਾ ਗਤਿ ਭਈ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
tā gat bhaī hamārī .1.
and I attained salvation. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਮਨੁ ਲੀਨਾ ॥
har kī prēm bhagat man līnā .
My mind is absorbed in loving devotional worship of the Lord,
ਨਿਤ ਬਾਜੇ ਅਨਹਤ ਬੀਨਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
nit bājē anahat bīnā . rahāu .
and the unstruck melody of the celestial sound current ever resounds within me. ||Pause||
ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਕੀ ਓਟ ਸਤਾਣੀ ॥
har charan kī ōt satānī .
The Lord's feet are my all-powerful shelter and support;
ਸਭ ਚੂਕੀ ਕਾਣਿ ਲੋਕਾਣੀ ॥
sabh chūkī kān lōkānī .
my dependence on other people is totally finished.
ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
jagajīvan dātā pāiā .
I have found the Life of the world, the Great Giver;
ਹਰਿ ਰਸਕਿ ਰਸਕਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
har rasak rasak gun gāiā .2.
in joyful rapture, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||2||
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾਟਿਆ ਜਮ ਕਾ ਫਾਸਾ ॥
prabh kātiā jam kā phāsā .
God has cut away the noose of death.
ਮਨ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਈ ਆਸਾ ॥
man pūran hōī āsā .
My mind's desires have been fulfilled;
ਜਹ ਪੇਖਾ ਤਹ ਸੋਈ ॥
jah pēkhā tah sōī .
wherever I look, He is there.
ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥੩॥
har prabh bin avar n kōī .3.
Without the Lord God, there is no other at all. ||3||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਰਾਖੇ ॥
kar kirapā prabh rākhē .
In His Mercy, God has protected and preserved me.
ਸਭਿ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਦੁਖ ਲਾਥੇ ॥
sabh janam janam dukh lāthē .
I am rid of all the pains of countless incarnations.
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
nirabhau nām dhiāiā .
I have meditated on the Naam, the Name of the Fearless Lord;
ਅਟਲ ਸੁਖੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੫॥੫੫॥
atal sukh nānak pāiā .4.5.55.
O Nanak, I have found eternal peace. ||4||5||55||
