ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl:
ਕਰਣ ਕਰਾਵਣਹਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
karan karāvanahār prabh dātā pārabraham prabh suāmī .
God is the Doer, the Cause of causes, the Great Giver; God is the Supreme Lord and Master.
ਸਗਲੇ ਜੀਅ ਕੀਏ ਦਇਆਲਾ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥੧॥
sagalē jī kīē daiālā sō prabh antarajāmī .1.
The Merciful Lord created all beings; God is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. ||1||
ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਹੋਆ ਆਪਿ ਸਹਾਈ ॥
mērā gur hōā āp sahāī .
My Guru is Himself my friend and support.
ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਰਸ ਅਚਰਜ ਭਈ ਬਡਾਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sūkh sahaj ānand mangal ras acharaj bhaī badāī . rahāu .
I am in celestial peace, bliss, joy, pleasure and wondrous glory. ||Pause||
ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਏ ਭੈ ਨਾਸੇ ਸਾਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਮਾਨੇ ॥
gur kī saran paē bhai nāsē sāchī daragah mānē .
Seeking the Sanctuary of the Guru, my fears have been dispelled, and I am accepted in the Court of the True Lord.
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਤ ਆਰਾਧਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਆਏ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਥਾਨੇ ॥੨॥
gun gāvat ārādh nām har āē apunai thānē .2.
Singing His Glorious Praises, and worshipping in adoration the Name of the Lord, I have reached my destination. ||2||
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰੁ ਕਰੈ ਸਭ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਾਧ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥
jai jai kār karai sabh usatat sangat sādh piārī .
Everyone applauds and congratulates me; the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, is dear to me.
ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਿ ਜਾਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਜਿਨਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
sad balihār jāu prabh apunē jin pūran paij savārī .3.
I am forever a sacrifice to my God, who has totally protected and preserved my honor. ||3||
ਗੋਸਟਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਣਿ ਉਧਰੇ ਜਿਨਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
gōsat giān nām sun udharē jin jin darasan pāiā .
They are saved, who receive the Blessed Vision of His Darshan; they listen to the spiritual dialogue of the Naam.
ਭਇਓ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਅਨਦ ਸੇਤੀ ਘਰਿ ਆਇਆ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੨੪॥
bhaiō kripāl nānak prabh apunā anad sētī ghar āiā .4.13.24.
Nanak's God has become Merciful to him; he has arrived home in ecstasy. ||4||13||24||
