ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਉ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਓ ਤਉ ਸੁਨੀ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
sādhasang jau tumah milāiō tau sunī tumārī bānī .
When You brought me to the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, then I heard the Bani of Your Word.
ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਪੇਖਤ ਹੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਪੁਰਖ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ॥੪॥੭॥੧੮॥
anad bhaiā pēkhat hī nānak pratāp purakh nirabānī .4.7.18.
Nanak is in ecstasy, beholding the Glory of the Primal Lord of Nirvaanaa. ||4||7||18||
ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੨ ॥
sōrath mahalā 5 ghar 2 .
Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl, Second House:
ਮਾਤ ਗਰਭ ਮਹਿ ਆਪਨ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਦੇ ਤਹ ਤੁਮ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੇ ॥
māt garabh mah āpan simaran dē tah tum rākhanahārē .
In our mother's womb, You blessed us with Your meditative remembrance, and You preserved us there.
ਪਾਵਕ ਸਾਗਰ ਅਥਾਹ ਲਹਰਿ ਮਹਿ ਤਾਰਹੁ ਤਾਰਨਹਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
pāvak sāgar athāh lahar mah tārah tāranahārē .1.
Through the countless waves of the ocean of fire, please, carry us across and save us, O Savior Lord! ||1||
ਮਾਧੌ ਤੂ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਮੋਰਾ ॥
mādhau tū thākur sir mōrā .
O Lord, You are the Master above my head.
ਈਹਾ ਊਹਾ ਤੁਹਾਰੋ ਧੋਰਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
īhā ūhā tuhārō dhōrā . rahāu .
Here and hereafter, You alone are my Support. ||Pause||
ਕੀਤੇ ਕਉ ਮੇਰੈ ਸੰਮਾਨੈ ਕਰਣਹਾਰੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਣੁ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
kītē kau mērai sanmānai karanahār trin jānai .
He looks upon the creation like a mountain of gold, and sees the Creator as a blade of grass.
ਤੂ ਦਾਤਾ ਮਾਗਨ ਕਉ ਸਗਲੀ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਨੈ ॥੨॥
tū dātā māgan kau sagalī dān dēh prabh bhānai .2.
You are the Great Giver, and we are all mere beggars; O God, You give gifts according to Your Will. ||2||
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਅਵਰੁ ਖਿਨੈ ਮਹਿ ਅਵਰਾ ਅਚਰਜ ਚਲਤ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ॥
khin mah avar khinai mah avarā acharaj chalat tumārē .
In an instant, You are one thing, and in another instant, You are another. Wondrous are Your ways!
ਰੂੜੋ ਗੂੜੋ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰੋ ਊਚੌ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੇ ॥੩॥
rūrō gūrō gahir ganbhīrō ūchau agam apārē .3.
You are beautiful, mysterious, profound, unfathomable, lofty, inaccessible and infinite. ||3||
