ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਕਿਸ ਹਉ ਜਾਚੀ ਕਿਸ ਆਰਾਧੀ ਜਾ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਸੀ ॥
kis hau jāchī kis ārādhī jā sabh kō kītā hōsī .
Who should I ask? Who should I worship? All were created by Him.
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਵਡਾ ਵਡੇਰਾ ਸੋ ਸੋ ਖਾਕੂ ਰਲਸੀ ॥
jō jō dīsai vadā vadērā sō sō khākū ralasī .
Whoever appears to be the greatest of the great, shall ultimately be mixed with the dust.
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ਭਵ ਖੰਡਨੁ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਦੇਸੀ ॥੧॥
nirabhau nirankār bhav khandan sabh sukh nav nidh dēsī .1.
The Fearless, Formless Lord, the Destroyer of Fear bestows all comforts, and the nine treasures. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਾਤੀ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
har jīu tērī dātī rājā .
O Dear Lord, Your gifts alone satisfy me.
ਮਾਣਸੁ ਬਪੁੜਾ ਕਿਆ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਕਿਆ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਮੁਹਤਾਜਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mānas bapurā kiā sālāhī kiā tis kā muhatājā . rahāu .
Why should I praise the poor helpless man? Why should I feel subservient to him? ||Pause||
ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਭੂਖ ਗਵਾਈ ॥
jin har dhiāiā sabh kish tis kā tis kī bhūkh gavāī .
All things come to one who meditates on the Lord; the Lord satisfies his hunger.
ਐਸਾ ਧਨੁ ਦੀਆ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੈ ਨਿਖੁਟਿ ਨ ਕਬ ਹੀ ਜਾਈ ॥
aisā dhan dīā sukhadātai nikhut n kab hī jāī .
The Lord, the Giver of peace, bestows such wealth, that it can never be exhausted.
ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਣੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥੨॥
anad bhaiā sukh sahaj samānē satigur mēl milāī .2.
I am in ecstasy, absorbed in celestial peace; the True Guru has united me in His Union. ||2||
ਮਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਆਰਾਧਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੀ ॥
man nām jap nām ārādh anadin nām vakhānī .
O mind, chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord; worship the Naam, night and day, and recite the Naam.
ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਸੁਣਿ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਤਨ ਕਾ ਸਭ ਚੂਕੀ ਕਾਣਿ ਜਮਾਣੀ ॥
upadēs sun sādh santan kā sabh chūkī kān jamānī .
Listen to the Teachings of the Holy Saints, and all fear of death will be dispelled.
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਹੋਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੇ ਲਾਗੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥੩॥
jin kau kripāl hōā prabh mērā sē lāgē gur kī bānī .3.
Those blessed by God's Grace are attached to the Word of the Guru's Bani. ||3||
ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਉਣੁ ਕਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੀ ਤੂ ਸਰਬ ਜੀਆ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
kīmat kaun karai prabh tērī tū sarab jīā daiālā .
Who can estimate Your worth, God? You are kind and compassionate to all beings.
ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਵਰਤੈ ਕਿਆ ਹਮ ਬਾਲ ਗੁਪਾਲਾ ॥
sabh kish kītā tērā varatai kiā ham bāl gupālā .
Everything which You do, prevails; I am just a poor child - what can I do?
ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਨੁ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਜਿਉ ਪਿਤਾ ਪੂਤ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ॥੪॥੧॥
rākh lēh nānak jan tumarā jiu pitā pūt kirapālā .4.1.
Protect and preserve Your servant Nanak; be kind to him, like a father to his son. ||4||1||
