ਜਿਨਾ ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤੁਸਟੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਨੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਗਲ ਮੰਨੀ ॥
jinā gurasikhā kau har santusat hai tinī satigur kī gal mannī .
Those Gursikhs, with whom the Lord is pleased, accept the Word of the True Guru.
ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਦੇ ਤਿਨੀ ਚੜੀ ਚਵਗਣਿ ਵੰਨੀ ॥੧੨॥
jō guramukh nām dhiāidē tinī charī chavagan vannī .12.
Those Gurmukhs who meditate on the Naam are imbued with the four-fold color of the Lord's Love. ||12||

Shalok, Third Mehl:
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ ॥
nānak nām nidhān hai guramukh pāiā jāi .
O Nanak, the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the treasure, which the Gurmukhs obtain.
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਘਰਿ ਹੋਦੀ ਵਥੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਨੀ ਅੰਧੇ ਭਉਕਿ ਮੁਏ ਬਿਲਲਾਇ ॥੧॥
manamukh ghar hōdī vath n jānanī andhē bhauk muē bilalāi .1.
The self-willed manmukhs are blind; they do not realize that it is within their own home. They die barking and crying. ||1||

Third Mehl:
ਕੰਚਨ ਕਾਇਆ ਨਿਰਮਲੀ ਜੋ ਸਚਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਚਿ ਲਾਗੀ ॥
kanchan kāiā niramalī jō sach nām sach lāgī .
That body is golden and immaculate, which is attached to the True Name of the True Lord.
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜੋਤਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਭਉ ਭਾਗੀ ॥
niramal jōt niranjan pāiā guramukh bhram bhau bhāgī .
The Gurmukh obtains the Pure Light of the Luminous Lord, and his doubts and fears run away.
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ॥੨॥
nānak guramukh sadā sukh pāvah anadin har bairāgī .2.
O Nanak, the Gurmukhs find lasting peace; night and day, they remain detached, while in the Love of the Lord. ||2||

ਸੇ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਨੀ ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਕੰਨੀ ॥
sē gurasikh dhan dhann hai jinī gur upadēs suniā har kannī .
Blessed, blessed are those Gursikhs, who, with their ears, listen to the Guru's Teachings about the Lord.
ਗੁਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਹੰਉਮੈ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਭੰਨੀ ॥
gur satigur nām drirāiā tin hanumai dubidhā bhannī .
The Guru, the True Guru, implants the Naam within them, and their egotism and duality are silenced.
ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਮਿਤ੍ਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ਡਿਠਾ ਹਰਿ ਜੰਨੀ ॥
bin har nāvai kō mitr nāhī vīchār dithā har jannī .
There is no friend, other than the Name of the Lord; the Lord's humble servants reflect upon this and see.
