Wadahans, Fifth Mehl, First House:
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik ōunkār satigur prasād .
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਅਤਿ ਊਚਾ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ ॥
at ūchā tā kā darabārā .
His Darbaar, His Court, is the most lofty and exalted.
ਅੰਤੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰਾ ॥
ant nāhī kish pārāvārā .
It has no end or limitations.
ਕੋਟਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਲਖ ਧਾਵੈ ॥
kōt kōt kōt lakh dhāvai .
Millions, millions, tens of millions seek,
ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਮਹਲੁ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੧॥
ik til tā kā mahal n pāvai .1.
but they cannot find even a tiny bit of His Mansion. ||1||
ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਕਉਣੁ ਸੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਲਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
suhāvī kaun s vēlā jit prabh mēlā .1. rahāu .
What is that auspicious moment, when God is met? ||1||Pause||
ਲਾਖ ਭਗਤ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਆਰਾਧਹਿ ॥
lākh bhagat jā kau ārādhah .
Tens of thousands of devotees worship Him in adoration.
ਲਾਖ ਤਪੀਸਰ ਤਪੁ ਹੀ ਸਾਧਹਿ ॥
lākh tapīsar tap hī sādhah .
Tens of thousands of ascetics practice austere discipline.
ਲਾਖ ਜੋਗੀਸਰ ਕਰਤੇ ਜੋਗਾ ॥
lākh jōgīsar karatē jōgā .
Tens of thousands of Yogis practice Yoga.
ਲਾਖ ਭੋਗੀਸਰ ਭੋਗਹਿ ਭੋਗਾ ॥੨॥
lākh bhōgīsar bhōgah bhōgā .2.
Tens of thousands of pleasure seekers seek pleasure. ||2||
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਵਸਹਿ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਥੋਰਾ ॥
ghat ghat vasah jānah thōrā .
He dwells in each and every heart, but only a few know this.
ਹੈ ਕੋਈ ਸਾਜਣੁ ਪਰਦਾ ਤੋਰਾ ॥
hai kōī sājan paradā tōrā .
Is there any friend who can rip apart the screen of separation?
ਕਰਉ ਜਤਨ ਜੇ ਹੋਇ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨਾ ॥
karau jatan jē hōi miharavānā .
I can only make the effort, if the Lord is merciful to me.
ਤਾ ਕਉ ਦੇਈ ਜੀਉ ਕੁਰਬਾਨਾ ॥੩॥
tā kau dēī jīu kurabānā .3.
I sacrifice my body and soul to Him. ||3||
ਫਿਰਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਸੰਤਨ ਪਹਿ ਆਇਆ ॥
phirat phirat santan pah āiā .
After wandering around for so long, I have finally come to the Saints;
ਦੂਖ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਸਗਲ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ॥
dūkh bhram hamārā sagal mitāiā .
all of my pains and doubts have been eradicated.
ਮਹਲਿ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਭੂੰਚਾ ॥
mahal bulāiā prabh anmrit bhūnchā .
God summoned me to the Mansion of His Presence, and blessed me with the Ambrosial Nectar of His Name.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਊਚਾ ॥੪॥੧॥
kah nānak prabh mērā ūchā .4.1.
Says Nanak, my God is lofty and exalted. ||4||1||
