Siree Raag, Fifth Mehl:
ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜੇ ਮਿਲੈ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਬਦੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥
pūrā satigur jē milai pāīai sabad nidhān .
If we meet the Perfect True Guru, we obtain the Treasure of the Shabad.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਪੀਐ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
kar kirapā prabh āpanī japīai anmrit nām .
Please grant Your Grace, God, that we may meditate on Your Ambrosial Naam.
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖੁ ਕਾਟੀਐ ਲਾਗੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥੧॥
janam maran dukh kātīai lāgai sahaj dhiān .1.
The pains of birth and death are taken away; we are intuitively centered on His Meditation. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਪਾਇ ॥
mērē man prabh saranāī pāi .
O my mind, seek the Sanctuary of God.
ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ਏਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har bin dūjā kō nahī ēkō nām dhiāi .1. rahāu .
Without the Lord, there is no other at all. Meditate on the One and only Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈਐ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਅਥਾਹੁ ॥
kīmat kahan n jāīai sāgar gunī athāh .
His Value cannot be estimated; He is the Vast Ocean of Excellence.
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਿਲੁ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਸਚਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਵਿਸਾਹੁ ॥
vadabhāgī mil sangatī sachā sabad visāh .
O most fortunate ones, join the Sangat, the Blessed Congregation; purchase the True Word of the Shabad.
ਕਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰੈ ਸਿਰਿ ਸਾਹਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ॥੨॥
kar sēvā sukh sāgarai sir sāhā pātisāh .2.
Serve the Lord, the Ocean of Peace, the Supreme Lord over kings and emperors. ||2||
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਕਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਠਾਉ ॥
charan kamal kā āsarā dūjā nāhī thāu .
I take the Support of the Lord's Lotus Feet; there is no other place of rest for me.
ਮੈ ਧਰ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਤੇਰੈ ਤਾਣਿ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mai dhar tērī pārabraham tērai tān rahāu .
I lean upon You as my Support, O Supreme Lord God. I exist only by Your Power.
ਨਿਮਾਣਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਾਣੁ ਤੂੰ ਤੇਰੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਮਾਉ ॥੩॥
nimāniā prabh mān tūn tērai sang samāu .3.
O God, You are the Honor of the dishonored. I seek to merge with You. ||3||
ਹਰਿ ਜਪੀਐ ਆਰਾਧੀਐ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ॥
har japīai ārādhīai āth pahar gōvind .
Chant the Lord's Name and contemplate the Lord of the World, twenty-four hours a day.
ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਤਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਰਖੇ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਰਾਖੀ ਜਿੰਦੁ ॥
jī prān tan dhan rakhē kar kirapā rākhī jind .
He preserves our soul, our breath of life, body and wealth. By His Grace, He protects our soul.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਗਲੇ ਦੋਖ ਉਤਾਰਿਅਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬਖਸਿੰਦੁ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੮੨॥
nānak sagalē dōkh utārian prabh pārabraham bakhasind .4.12.82.
O Nanak, all pain has been washed away, by the Supreme Lord God, the Forgiver. ||4||12||82||
