ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਇਵੇਹਾ ਜੀਵਣਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥
dhrig ivēhā jīvanā jit har prīt n pāi .
Cursed is that life, in which the Lord's Love is not obtained.
ਜਿਤੁ ਕੰਮਿ ਹਰਿ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਦੂਜੈ ਲਗੈ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥
jit kanm har vīsarai dūjai lagai jāi .1.
Cursed is that occupation, in which the Lord is forgotten, and one becomes attached to duality. ||1||
ਐਸਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੀਐ ਮਨਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਸੇਵਿਐ ਗੋਵਿਦ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਊਪਜੈ ਅਵਰ ਵਿਸਰਿ ਸਭ ਜਾਇ ॥
aisā satigur sēvīai manā jit sēviai gōvid prīt ūpajai avar visar sabh jāi .
Serve such a True Guru, O my mind, that by serving Him, God's Love may be produced, and all others may be forgotten.
ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਗਹਿ ਰਹੈ ਜਰਾ ਕਾ ਭਉ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਦਵੀ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har sētī chit gah rahai jarā kā bhau n hōvaī jīvan padavī pāi .1. rahāu .
Your consciousness shall remain attached to the Lord; there shall be no fear of old age, and the supreme status shall be obtained. ||1||Pause||
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਿਉ ਇਕੁ ਸਹਜੁ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਵੇਖੁ ਜੈਸੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਬਨੀ ॥
gōbind prīt siu ik sahaj upajiā vēkh jaisī bhagat banī .
A divine peace wells up from God's Love; behold, it comes from devotional worship.
ਆਪ ਸੇਤੀ ਆਪੁ ਖਾਇਆ ਤਾ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਆ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਈ ॥੨॥
āp sētī āp khāiā tā man niramal hōā jōtī jōt samaī .2.
When my identity consumed my identical identity, then my mind became immaculately pure, and my light was blended with the Divine Light. ||2||
ਬਿਨੁ ਭਾਗਾ ਐਸਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਜੇ ਲੋਚੈ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥
bin bhāgā aisā satigur n pāīai jē lōchai sabh kōi .
Without good fortune, such a True Guru cannot be found, no matter how much all may yearn for Him.
ਕੂੜੈ ਕੀ ਪਾਲਿ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਨਿਕਲੈ ਤਾ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੩॥
kūrai kī pāl vichah nikalai tā sadā sukh hōi .3.
If the veil of falsehood is removed from within, then lasting peace is obtained. ||3||
ਨਾਨਕ ਐਸੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਕਿਆ ਓਹੁ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਆਗੈ ਜੀਉ ਧਰੇਇ ॥
nānak aisē satigur kī kiā ōh sēvak sēvā karē gur āgai jīu dharēi .
O Nanak, what service can the servant perform for such a True Guru? He should offer his life, his very soul, to the Guru.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਚਿਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਆਪੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੪॥੧॥੩॥
satigur kā bhānā chit karē satigur āpē kripā karēi .4.1.3.
If he focuses his consciousness on the Will of the True Guru, then the True Guru Himself will bless him. ||4||1||3||
