ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ਕਰੈ ਧੰਨੁ ਸਵਾਰਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੨॥
tin kī sēvā dharam rāi karai dhann savāranahār .2.
The Righteous Judge of Dharma serves them; blessed is the Lord who adorns them. ||2||
ਮਨ ਕੇ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਮਨਹਿ ਤਜੈ ਮਨਿ ਚੂਕੈ ਮੋਹੁ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥
man kē bikār manah tajai man chūkai mōh abhimān .
One who eliminates mental wickedness from within the mind, and casts out emotional attachment and egotistical pride,
ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਸਹਜੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਨੁ ॥
ātam rām pashāniā sahajē nām samān .
comes to recognize the All-pervading Soul, and is intuitively absorbed into the Naam.
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਫਿਰੈ ਦਿਵਾਨੁ ॥
bin satigur mukat n pāīai manamukh phirai divān .
Without the True Guru, the self-willed manmukhs do not find liberation; they wander around like lunatics.
ਸਬਦੁ ਨ ਚੀਨੈ ਕਥਨੀ ਬਦਨੀ ਕਰੇ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਨੁ ॥੩॥
sabad n chīnai kathanī badanī karē bikhiā māh samān .3.
They do not contemplate the Shabad; engrossed in corruption, they utter only empty words. ||3||
ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
sabh kish āpē āp hai dūjā avar n kōi .
He Himself is everything; there is no other at all.
ਜਿਉ ਬੋਲਾਏ ਤਿਉ ਬੋਲੀਐ ਜਾ ਆਪਿ ਬੁਲਾਏ ਸੋਇ ॥
jiu bōlāē tiu bōlīai jā āp bulāē sōi .
I speak just as He makes me speak, when He Himself makes me speak.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬਾਣੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਹੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਇ ॥
guramukh bānī braham hai sabad milāvā hōi .
The Word of the Gurmukh is God Himself. Through the Shabad, we merge in Him.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲਿ ਤੂ ਜਿਤੁ ਸੇਵਿਐ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੪॥੩੦॥੬੩॥
nānak nām samāl tū jit sēviai sukh hōi .4.30.63.
O Nanak, remember the Naam; serving Him, peace is obtained. ||4||30||63||

ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਸਚਾ ਸਚੁ ਤੂ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੇਰੈ ਚੀਰੈ ॥
har jī sachā sach tū sabh kish tērai chīrai .
O Dear Lord, You are the Truest of the True. All things are in Your Power.
ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਤਰਸਦੇ ਫਿਰੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਭੇਟੇ ਪੀਰੈ ॥
lakh chaurāsīh tarasadē phirē bin gur bhētē pīrai .
The 8.4 million species of beings wander around searching for You, but without the Guru, they do not find You.
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਬਖਸੇ ਬਖਸਿ ਲਏ ਸੂਖ ਸਦਾ ਸਰੀਰੈ ॥
har jīu bakhasē bakhas laē sūkh sadā sarīrai .
When the Dear Lord grants His Forgiveness, this human body finds lasting peace.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਰੀ ਸਚੁ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰੈ ॥੧॥
gur parasādī sēv karī sach gahir ganbhīrai .1.
By Guru's Grace, I serve the True One, who is Immeasurably Deep and Profound. ||1||
ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
man mērē nām ratē sukh hōi .
O my mind, attuned to the Naam, you shall find peace.
ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹੀਐ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
guramatī nām salāhīai dūjā avar n kōi .1. rahāu .
Follow the Guru's Teachings, and praise the Naam; there is no other at all. ||1||Pause||
ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ਨੋ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਹੈ ਬਹਿ ਸਚਾ ਧਰਮੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥
dharam rāi nō hukam hai bah sachā dharam bīchār .
The Righteous Judge of Dharma, by the Hukam of God's Command, sits and administers True Justice.
ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਦੁਸਟੁ ਆਤਮਾ ਓਹੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ॥
dūjai bhāi dusat ātamā ōh tērī sarakār .
Those evil souls, ensnared by the love of duality, are subject to Your Command.
ਅਧਿਆਤਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਤਾਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਜਪਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ॥
adhiātamī har gun tās man japah ēk murār .
The souls on their spiritual journey chant and meditate within their minds on the One Lord, the Treasure of Excellence.
