ਕਿਛੁ ਕਿਸੀ ਕੈ ਹਥਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਐਸੀ ਮੇਰੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਬੂਝ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥
kish kisī kai hath nāhī mērē suāmī aisī mērai satigur būjh bujhāī .
Nothing is in the hands of anyone, O my Lord and Master; such is the understanding the True Guru has given me to understand.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਆਸ ਤੂ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਈ ॥੪॥੧॥
jan nānak kī ās tū jānah har darasan dēkh har darasan tripatāī .4.1.
You alone know the hope of servant Nanak, O Lord; gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, he is satisfied. ||4||1||

Gond, Fourth Mehl:
ਐਸਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵੀਐ ਨਿਤ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਜੋ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਸਭਿ ਕਰੇ ਬਿਨਾਸਾ ॥
aisā har sēvīai nit dhiāīai jō khin mah kilavikh sabh karē bināsā .
Serve such a Lord, and ever meditate on Him, who in an instant erases all sins and mistakes.
ਜੇ ਹਰਿ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਅਵਰ ਕੀ ਆਸ ਕੀਜੈ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਹਫਲ ਸਭ ਘਾਲ ਗਵਾਸਾ ॥
jē har tiāg avar kī ās kījai tā har nihaphal sabh ghāl gavāsā .
If someone forsakes the Lord and places his hopes in another, then all his service to the Lord is rendered fruitless.
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਿਹੁ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਸੇਵਿਐ ਸਭ ਭੁਖ ਲਹਾਸਾ ॥੧॥
mērē man har sēvih sukhadātā suāmī jis sēviai sabh bhukh lahāsā .1.
O my mind, serve the Lord, the Giver of peace; serving Him, all your hunger shall depart. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਊਪਰਿ ਕੀਜੈ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ ॥
mērē man har ūpar kījai bharavāsā .
O my mind, place your faith in the Lord.
ਜਹ ਜਾਈਐ ਤਹ ਨਾਲਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਅਪਨੀ ਪੈਜ ਰਖੈ ਜਨ ਦਾਸਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jah jāīai tah nāl mērā suāmī har apanī paij rakhai jan dāsā .1. rahāu .
Wherever I go, my Lord and Master is there with me. The Lord saves the honor of His humble servants and slaves. ||1||Pause||
ਜੇ ਅਪਨੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਕਹਹੁ ਅਵਰਾ ਪਹਿ ਤਾ ਆਗੈ ਅਪਨੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਬਹੁ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਕਢਾਸਾ ॥
jē apanī birathā kahah avarā pah tā āgai apanī birathā bah bahut kadhāsā .
If you tell your sorrows to another, then he, in return, will tell you of his greater sorrows.
ਅਪਨੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਕਹਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪਹਿ ਜੋ ਤੁਮ੍ਹਰੇ ਦੂਖ ਤਤਕਾਲ ਕਟਾਸਾ ॥
apanī birathā kahah har apunē suāmī pah jō tumharē dūkh tatakāl katāsā .
So tell your sorrows to the Lord, your Lord and Master, who shall instantly dispel your pain.
ਸੋ ਐਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਅਪਨੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਅਵਰਾ ਪਹਿ ਕਹੀਐ ਅਵਰਾ ਪਹਿ ਕਹਿ ਮਨ ਲਾਜ ਮਰਾਸਾ ॥੨॥
sō aisā prabh shōd apanī birathā avarā pah kahīai avarā pah kah man lāj marāsā .2.
Forsaking such a Lord God, if you tell your sorrows to another, then you shall die of shame. ||2||
ਜੋ ਸੰਸਾਰੈ ਕੇ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਭਾਈ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਸਭਿ ਅਪਨੈ ਸੁਆਇ ਮਿਲਾਸਾ ॥
jō sansārai kē kutanb mitr bhāī dīsah man mērē tē sabh apanai suāi milāsā .
The relatives, friends and siblings of the world that you see, O my mind, all meet with you for their own purposes.
ਜਿਤੁ ਦਿਨਿ ਉਨ੍ਹ ਕਾ ਸੁਆਉ ਹੋਇ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਤਿਤੁ ਦਿਨਿ ਨੇੜੈ ਕੋ ਨ ਢੁਕਾਸਾ ॥
jit din unh kā suāu hōi n āvai tit din nērai kō n dhukāsā .
And that day, when their self-interests are not served, on that day, they shall not come near you.
ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਪਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਜੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਉਪਕਰੈ ਦੂਖਿ ਸੁਖਾਸਾ ॥੩॥
man mērē apanā har sēv din rātī jō tudh upakarai dūkh sukhāsā .3.
O my mind, serve your Lord, day and night; He shall help you in good times and bad. ||3||
ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ ਕਿਉ ਕੀਜੈ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੋ ਅੰਤੀ ਅਉਸਰਿ ਰਖਿ ਨ ਸਕਾਸਾ ॥
tis kā bharavāsā kiu kījai man mērē jō antī ausar rakh n sakāsā .
Why place your faith in anyone, O my mind, who cannot come to your rescue at the last instant?
ਹਰਿ ਜਪੁ ਮੰਤੁ ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਲੈ ਜਾਪਹੁ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ ਅੰਤਿ ਛਡਾਏ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਚਿਤਾਸਾ ॥
har jap mant gur upadēs lai jāpah tinh ant shadāē jinh har prīt chitāsā .
Chant the Lord's Mantra, take the Guru's Teachings, and meditate on Him. In the end, the Lord saves those who love Him in their consciousness.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਇਹੁ ਛੂਟਣ ਕਾ ਸਾਚਾ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ ॥੪॥੨॥
jan nānak anadin nām japah har santah ih shūtan kā sāchā bharavāsā .4.2.
Servant Nanak speaks: night and day, chant the Lord's Name, O Saints; this is the only true hope for emancipation. ||4||2||

Gond, Fourth Mehl:
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਸਦਾ ਹੋਇ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸੀਤਲ ਮਨੁ ਅਪਨਾ ॥
har simarat sadā hōi anand sukh antar sānht sītal man apanā .
Remembering the Lord in meditation, you shall find bliss and peace forever deep within, and your mind will become tranquil and cool.
ਜੈਸੇ ਸਕਤਿ ਸੂਰੁ ਬਹੁ ਜਲਤਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਸਿ ਦੇਖੇ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਇ ਸਭ ਤਪਨਾ ॥੧॥
jaisē sakat sūr bah jalatā gur sas dēkhē lah jāi sabh tapanā .1.
It is like the harsh sun of Maya, with its burning heat; seeing the moon, the Guru, its heat totally vanishes. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਨਾ ॥
mērē man anadin dhiāi nām har japanā .
O my mind, night and day, meditate, and chant the Lord's Name.
ਜਹਾ ਕਹਾ ਤੁਝੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਸਭ ਠਾਈ ਸੋ ਐਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਤੂ ਅਪਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jahā kahā tujh rākhai sabh thāī sō aisā prabh sēv sadā tū apanā .1. rahāu .
Here and hereafter, He shall protect you, everywhere; serve such a God forever. ||1||Pause||
ਜਾ ਮਹਿ ਸਭਿ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਖੋਜਿ ਲਹਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਤਨਾ ॥
jā mah sabh nidhān sō har jap man mērē guramukh khōj lahah har ratanā .
Meditate on the Lord, who contains all treasures, O my mind; as Gurmukh, search for the jewel, the Lord.
ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਤਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਮਲਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਦਸਨਾ ॥੨॥
jin har dhiāiā tin har pāiā mērā suāmī tin kē charan malah har dasanā .2.
Those who meditate on the Lord, find the Lord, my Lord and Master; I wash the feet of those slaves of the Lord. ||2||
ਸਬਦੁ ਪਛਾਣਿ ਰਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਵਹੁ ਓਹੁ ਊਤਮੁ ਸੰਤੁ ਭਇਓ ਬਡ ਬਡਨਾ ॥
sabad pashān rām ras pāvah ōh ūtam sant bhaiō bad badanā .
One who realizes the Word of the Shabad, obtains the sublime essence of the Lord; such a Saint is lofty and sublime, the greatest of the great.
ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਵਧਾਈ ਓਹੁ ਘਟੈ ਨ ਕਿਸੈ ਕੀ ਘਟਾਈ ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਤਿਲਨਾ ॥੩॥
tis jan kī vadiāī har āp vadhāī ōh ghatai n kisai kī ghatāī ik til til tilanā .3.
The Lord Himself magnifies the glory of that humble servant. No one can lessen or decrease that glory, not even a bit. ||3||
