ਕੋਈ ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਫਿਰਿ ਸਰਣਿ ਗੁਰ ਆਵੈ ॥
kōī nindak hōvai satigurū kā phir saran gur āvai .
If someone slanders the True Guru, and then comes seeking the Guru's Protection,
ਪਿਛਲੇ ਗੁਨਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਬਖਸਿ ਲਏ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਨਾਲਿ ਰਲਾਵੈ ॥
pishalē gunah satigur bakhas laē satasangat nāl ralāvai .
the True Guru forgives him for his past sins, and unites him with the Saints' Congregation.
ਜਿਉ ਮੀਹਿ ਵੁਠੈ ਗਲੀਆ ਨਾਲਿਆ ਟੋਭਿਆ ਕਾ ਜਲੁ ਜਾਇ ਪਵੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਸੁਰਸਰੀ ਸੁਰਸਰੀ ਮਿਲਤ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰੁ ਪਾਵਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
jiu mīh vuthai galīā nāliā tōbhiā kā jal jāi pavai vich surasarī surasarī milat pavitr pāvan hōi jāvai .
When the rain falls, the water in the streams, rivers and ponds flows into the Ganges; flowing into the Ganges, it is made sacred and pure.
ਏਹ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਿਰਵੈਰ ਵਿਚਿ ਜਿਤੁ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਤਿਸਨਾ ਭੁਖ ਉਤਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਤੜ ਆਵੈ ॥
ēh vadiāī satigur niravair vich jit miliai tisanā bhukh utarai har sānht tar āvai .
Such is the glorious greatness of the True Guru, who has no vengeance; meeting with Him, thirst and hunger are quenched, and instantly, one attains celestial peace.
ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹੁ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਸਚੇ ਸਾਹ ਕਾ ਜਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੋ ਮੰਨੈ ਸੁ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਭਾਵੈ ॥੧੩॥੧॥ ਸੁਧੁ ॥
nānak ih acharaj dēkhah mērē har sachē sāh kā j satigurū nō mannai s sabhanānh bhāvai .13.1. sudh .
O Nanak, behold this wonder of the Lord, my True King! Everyone is pleased with one who obeys and believes in the True Guru. ||13||1|| Sudh||

ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik ōunkār sat nām karatā purakh gur prasād .
One Universal Creator God. Truth Is The Name. Creative Being Personified By Guru's Grace:
ਐਸੋ ਇਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਪੇਖਨਾ ਰਹਨੁ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਪਈਹੈ ਰੇ ॥
aisō ih sansār pēkhanā rahan n kōū paīhai rē .
This world is a drama; no one can remain here.
ਸੂਧੇ ਸੂਧੇ ਰੇਗਿ ਚਲਹੁ ਤੁਮ ਨਤਰ ਕੁਧਕਾ ਦਿਵਈਹੈ ਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sūdhē sūdhē rēg chalah tum natar kudhakā divaīhai rē .1. rahāu .
Walk the straight path; otherwise, you will be pushed around. ||1||Pause||
ਬਾਰੇ ਬੂਢੇ ਤਰੁਨੇ ਭਈਆ ਸਭਹੂ ਜਮੁ ਲੈ ਜਈਹੈ ਰੇ ॥
bārē būdhē tarunē bhaīā sabhahū jam lai jaīhai rē .
The children, the young and the old, O Siblings of Destiny, will be taken away by the Messenger of Death.
ਮਾਨਸੁ ਬਪੁਰਾ ਮੂਸਾ ਕੀਨੋ ਮੀਚੁ ਬਿਲਈਆ ਖਈਹੈ ਰੇ ॥੧॥
mānas bapurā mūsā kīnō mīch bilaīā khaīhai rē .1.
The Lord has made the poor man a mouse, and the cat of Death is eating him up. ||1||
ਧਨਵੰਤਾ ਅਰੁ ਨਿਰਧਨ ਮਨਈ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਕਾਨੀ ਰੇ ॥
dhanavantā ar niradhan manaī tā kī kashū n kānī rē .
It gives no special consideration to either the rich or the poor.
ਰਾਜਾ ਪਰਜਾ ਸਮ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਰੈ ਐਸੋ ਕਾਲੁ ਬਡਾਨੀ ਰੇ ॥੨॥
rājā parajā sam kar mārai aisō kāl badānī rē .2.
The king and his subjects are equally killed; such is the power of Death. ||2||
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਏ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ ਕੀ ਕਥਾ ਨਿਰਾਰੀ ਰੇ ॥
har kē sēvak jō har bhāē tinh kī kathā nirārī rē .
Those who are pleasing to the Lord are the servants of the Lord; their story is unique and singular.
ਆਵਹਿ ਨ ਜਾਹਿ ਨ ਕਬਹੂ ਮਰਤੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸੰਗਾਰੀ ਰੇ ॥੩॥
āvah n jāh n kabahū maratē pārabraham sangārī rē .3.
They do not come and go, and they never die; they remain with the Supreme Lord God. ||3||
ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ ਲਛਿਮੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਇਹੈ ਤਜਹੁ ਜੀਅ ਜਾਨੀ ਰੇ ॥
putr kalatr lashimī māiā ihai tajah jī jānī rē .
Know this in your soul, that by renouncing your children, spouse, wealth and property
ਕਹਤ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਰੇ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਮਿਲਿਹੈ ਸਾਰਿਗਪਾਨੀ ਰੇ ॥੪॥੧॥
kahat kabīr sunah rē santah milihai sārigapānī rē .4.1.
- says Kabeer, listen, O Saints - you shall be united with the Lord of the Universe. ||4||1||
ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ॥
bilāval .
Bilaaval:
ਬਿਦਿਆ ਨ ਪਰਉ ਬਾਦੁ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨਉ ॥
bidiā n parau bād nahī jānau .
I do not read books of knowledge, and I do not understand the debates.
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਕਥਤ ਸੁਨਤ ਬਉਰਾਨੋ ॥੧॥
har gun kathat sunat baurānō .1.
I have gone insane, chanting and hearing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਮੈ ਬਉਰਾ ਸਭ ਖਲਕ ਸੈਆਨੀ ਮੈ ਬਉਰਾ ॥
mērē bābā mai baurā sabh khalak saiānī mai baurā .
O my father, I have gone insane; the whole world is sane, and I am insane.
ਮੈ ਬਿਗਰਿਓ ਬਿਗਰੈ ਮਤਿ ਅਉਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mai bigariō bigarai mat aurā .1. rahāu .
I am spoiled; let no one else be spoiled like me. ||1||Pause||
ਆਪਿ ਨ ਬਉਰਾ ਰਾਮ ਕੀਓ ਬਉਰਾ ॥
āp n baurā rām kīō baurā .
I have not made myself go insane - the Lord made me go insane.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜਾਰਿ ਗਇਓ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਮੋਰਾ ॥੨॥
satigur jār gaiō bhram mōrā .2.
The True Guru has burnt away my doubt. ||2||
ਮੈ ਬਿਗਰੇ ਅਪਨੀ ਮਤਿ ਖੋਈ ॥
mai bigarē apanī mat khōī .
I am spoiled; I have lost my intellect.
ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੂਲਉ ਮਤਿ ਕੋਈ ॥੩॥
mērē bharam bhūlau mat kōī .3.
Let no one go astray in doubt like me. ||3||
ਸੋ ਬਉਰਾ ਜੋ ਆਪੁ ਨ ਪਛਾਨੈ ॥
sō baurā jō āp n pashānai .
He alone is insane, who does not understand himself.
ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਨੈ ਤ ਏਕੈ ਜਾਨੈ ॥੪॥
āp pashānai t ēkai jānai .4.
When he understands himself, then he knows the One Lord. ||4||
ਅਬਹਿ ਨ ਮਾਤਾ ਸੁ ਕਬਹੁ ਨ ਮਾਤਾ ॥
abah n mātā s kabah n mātā .
One who is not intoxicated with the Lord now, shall never be intoxicated.
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਰਾਮੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥੫॥੨॥
kah kabīr rāmai rang rātā .5.2.
Says Kabeer, I am imbued with the Lord's Love. ||5||2||
ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ॥
bilāval .
Bilaaval:
ਗ੍ਰਿਹੁ ਤਜਿ ਬਨ ਖੰਡ ਜਾਈਐ ਚੁਨਿ ਖਾਈਐ ਕੰਦਾ ॥
grih taj ban khand jāīai chun khāīai kandā .
Abandoning his household, he may go to the forest, and live by eating roots;
ਅਜਹੁ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਨ ਛੋਡਈ ਪਾਪੀ ਮਨੁ ਮੰਦਾ ॥੧॥
ajah bikār n shōdaī pāpī man mandā .1.
but even so, his sinful, evil mind does not renounce corruption. ||1||
ਕਿਉ ਛੂਟਉ ਕੈਸੇ ਤਰਉ ਭਵਜਲ ਨਿਧਿ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
kiu shūtau kaisē tarau bhavajal nidh bhārī .
How can anyone be saved? How can anyone cross over the terrifying world-ocean?
ਰਾਖੁ ਰਾਖੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੀਠੁਲਾ ਜਨੁ ਸਰਨਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
rākh rākh mērē bīthulā jan saran tumhārī .1. rahāu .
Save me, save me, O my Lord! Your humble servant seeks Your Sanctuary. ||1||Pause||
ਬਿਖੈ ਬਿਖੈ ਕੀ ਬਾਸਨਾ ਤਜੀਅ ਨਹ ਜਾਈ ॥
bikhai bikhai kī bāsanā tajī nah jāī .
I cannot escape my desire for sin and corruption.
ਅਨਿਕ ਜਤਨ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖੀਐ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਲਪਟਾਈ ॥੨॥
anik jatan kar rākhīai phir phir lapatāī .2.
I make all sorts of efforts to hold back from this desire, but it clings to me, again and again. ||2||
