ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਭਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਥਹੁ ਕਰਮਹੀਣ ਲੈ ਨ ਸਕਹਿ ਹੋਰ ਥੈ ਦੇਸ ਦਿਸੰਤਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੮॥
guramukh sēvak bhāi har dhan milai tithah karamahīn lai n sakah hōr thai dēs disantar har dhan nāh .8.
Through loving service, the Gurmukhs receive the wealth of the Naam, but the unfortunate ones cannot receive it. This wealth is not found anywhere else, in this country or in any other. ||8||

Shalok, Third Mehl:
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੰਸਾ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਜਾਇ ॥
guramukh sansā mūl n hōvaī chintā vichah jāi .
The Gurmukh does not have an iota of skepticism or doubt; worries depart from within him.
ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਸਹਜੇ ਹੋਇ ਕਹਣਾ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
jō kish hōi s sahajē hōi kahanā kishū n jāi .
Whatever he does, he does with grace and poise. Nothing else can be said about him.
ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਆਖਿਆ ਆਪਿ ਸੁਣੇ ਜਿ ਲਇਅਨੁ ਪੰਨੈ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥
nānak tin kā ākhiā āp sunē j laian pannai pāi .1.
O Nanak, the Lord Himself hears the speech of those whom He makes His own. ||1||

Third Mehl:
ਕਾਲੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਮਨਸਾ ਮਨਹਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਾਉ ॥
kāl mār manasā manah samānī antar niramal nāu .
He conquers death, and subdues the desires of his mind; the Immaculate Name abides deep within him.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਾਗੈ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਸੋਵੈ ਸਹਜੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਿਆਉ ॥
anadin jāgai kadē n sōvai sahajē anmrit piāu .
Night and day, he remains awake and aware; he never sleeps, and he intuitively drinks in the Ambrosial Nectar.
ਮੀਠਾ ਬੋਲੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥
mīthā bōlē anmrit bānī anadin har gun gāu .
His speech is sweet, and his words are nectar; night and day, he sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਸਾ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਹਦੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਉ ॥੨॥
nij ghar vāsā sadā sōhadē nānak tin miliā sukh pāu .2.
He dwells in the home of his own self, and appears beautiful forever; meeting him, Nanak finds peace. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਰਤਨ ਜਵੇਹਰੀ ਸੋ ਗੁਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਸਹੁ ਦੇਵਾਇਆ ॥
har dhan ratan javēharī sō gur har dhan har pāsah dēvāiā .
The wealth of the Lord is a jewel, a gem; the Guru has caused the Lord to grant that wealth of the Lord.
ਜੇ ਕਿਸੈ ਕਿਹੁ ਦਿਸਿ ਆਵੈ ਤਾ ਕੋਈ ਕਿਹੁ ਮੰਗਿ ਲਏ ਅਕੈ ਕੋਈ ਕਿਹੁ ਦੇਵਾਏ ਏਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਜੋਰਿ ਕੀਤੈ ਕਿਸੈ ਨਾਲਿ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਵੰਡਾਇਆ ॥
jē kisai kih dis āvai tā kōī kih mang laē akai kōī kih dēvāē ēh har dhan jōr kītai kisai nāl n jāi vandāiā .
If someone sees something, he may ask for it; or, someone may cause it to be given to him. But no one can take a share of this wealth of the Lord by force.
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਧਾ ਲਾਏ ਤਿਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਨ ਕੀ ਵੰਡ ਹਥਿ ਆਵੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਕਰਤੈ ਧੁਰਿ ਲਿਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
jis nō satigur nāl har saradhā lāē tis har dhan kī vand hath āvai jis nō karatai dhur likh pāiā .
He alone obtains a share of the wealth of the Lord, who is blessed by the Creator with faith and devotion to the True Guru, according to his pre-ordained destiny.
ਇਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਨ ਕਾ ਕੋਈ ਸਰੀਕੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਸੈ ਕਾ ਖਤੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਸੈ ਕੈ ਸੀਵ ਬੰਨੈ ਰੋਲੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਜੇ ਕੋ ਹਰਿ ਧਨ ਕੀ ਬਖੀਲੀ ਕਰੇ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਮੁਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਚਹੁ ਕੁੰਡਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਕਾਲਾ ਕਰਾਇਆ ॥
is har dhan kā kōī sarīk nāhī kisai kā khat nāhī kisai kai sīv bannai rōl nāhī jē kō har dhan kī bakhīlī karē tis kā muh har chah kundā vich kālā karāiā .
No one is a share-holder in this wealth of the Lord, and no one owns any of it. It has no boundaries or borders to be disputed. If anyone speaks ill of the wealth of the Lord, his face will be blackened in the four directions.
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਦਿਤੇ ਨਾਲਿ ਕਿਸੈ ਜੋਰੁ ਬਖੀਲੀ ਨ ਚਲਈ ਦਿਹੁ ਦਿਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਚੜੈ ਸਵਾਇਆ ॥੯॥
har kē ditē nāl kisai jōr bakhīlī n chalaī dih dih nit nit charai savāiā .9.
No one's power or slander can prevail against the gifts of the Lord; day by day they continually, continuously increase. ||9||

ਜਗਤੁ ਜਲੰਦਾ ਰਖਿ ਲੈ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥
jagat jalandā rakh lai āpanī kirapā dhār .
The world is going up in flames - shower it with Your Mercy, and save it!
ਜਿਤੁ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਉਬਰੈ ਤਿਤੈ ਲੈਹੁ ਉਬਾਰਿ ॥
jit duārai ubarai titai laih ubār .
Save it, and deliver it, by whatever method it takes.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਵੇਖਾਲਿਆ ਸਚਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥
satigur sukh vēkhāliā sachā sabad bīchār .
The True Guru has shown the way to peace, contemplating the True Word of the Shabad.
ਨਾਨਕ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਸੁਝਈ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਬਖਸਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੧॥
nānak avar n sujhaī har bin bakhasanahār .1.
Nanak knows no other than the Lord, the Forgiving Lord. ||1||

ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਣੀ ਦੂਜੈ ਲਗੈ ਜਾਇ ॥
haumai māiā mōhanī dūjai lagai jāi .
Through egotism, fascination with Maya has trapped them in duality.
ਨਾ ਇਹ ਮਾਰੀ ਨ ਮਰੈ ਨਾ ਇਹ ਹਟਿ ਵਿਕਾਇ ॥
nā ih mārī n marai nā ih hat vikāi .
It cannot be killed, it does not die, and it cannot be sold in a store.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਰਜਾਲੀਐ ਤਾ ਇਹ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਜਾਇ ॥
gur kai sabad parajālīai tā ih vichah jāi .
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, it is burnt away, and then it departs from within.
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਉਜਲਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥
tan man hōvai ujalā nām vasai man āi .
The body and mind become pure, and the Naam, the Name of the Lord, comes to dwell within the mind.
ਨਾਨਕ ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾ ਮਾਰਣੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥
nānak māiā kā māran sabad hai guramukh pāiā jāi .2.
O Nanak, the Shabad is the killer of Maya; the Gurmukh obtains it. ||2||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦਿਤੀ ਧੁਰਹੁ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਬੁਝਿ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥
satigur kī vadiāī satigur ditī dhurah hukam bujh nīsān .
The glorious greatness of the True Guru was bestowed by the True Guru; He understood this as the Insignia, the Mark of the Primal Lord's Will.
ਪੁਤੀ ਭਾਤੀਈ ਜਾਵਾਈ ਸਕੀ ਅਗਹੁ ਪਿਛਹੁ ਟੋਲਿ ਡਿਠਾ ਲਾਹਿਓਨੁ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥
putī bhātīī jāvāī sakī agah pishah tōl dithā lāhiōn sabhanā kā abhimān .
He tested His sons, nephews, sons-in-law and relatives, and subdued the egotistical pride of them all.
ਜਿਥੈ ਕੋ ਵੇਖੈ ਤਿਥੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਬਖਸਿਓਸੁ ਸਭੁ ਜਹਾਨੁ ॥
jithai kō vēkhai tithai mērā satigurū har bakhasiōs sabh jahān .
Wherever anyone looks, my True Guru is there; the Lord blessed Him with the whole world.
ਜਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨੋ ਮਿਲਿ ਮੰਨੇ ਸੁ ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਸਿਝੈ ਜਿ ਵੇਮੁਖੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੁ ਫਿਰੈ ਭਰਿਸਟ ਥਾਨੁ ॥
j satigur nō mil mannē s halat palat sijhai j vēmukh hōvai s phirai bharisat thān .
One who meets with, and believes in the True Guru, is embellished here and hereafter. Whoever turns his back on the Guru and becomes baymukh, shall wander in cursed and evil places.
