ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਕਿਰਪਾਲੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਆਪੇ ਸੁਣੈ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ॥
hōi daiāl kirapāl prabh thākur āpē sunai bēnantī .
Becoming kind and compassionate, God the Lord and Master Himself listens to my prayer.
ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ਸਭ ਚੂਕੈ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਚਿੰਤੀ ॥
pūrā satagur mēl milāvai sabh chūkai man kī chintī .
He unites me in Union with the Perfect True Guru, and all the cares and anxieties of my mind are dispelled.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਵਖਦੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖਿ ਵਸੰਤੀ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੬੨॥
har har nām avakhad mukh pāiā jan nānak sukh vasantī .4.12.62.
The Lord, Har, Har, has placed the medicine of the Naam into my mouth; servant Nanak abides in peace. ||4||12||62||

simar simar prabh bhaē anandā dukh kalēs sabh nāthē .
Remembering, remembering God in meditation, bliss ensues, and one is rid of all suffering and pain.
ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਧਿਆਵਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਗਲੇ ਸਾਂਠੇ ॥੧॥
gun gāvat dhiāvat prabh apanā kāraj sagalē sānhthē .1.
Singing the Glorious Praises of God, and meditating on Him, all my affairs are brought into harmony. ||1||
ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ॥
jagajīvan nām tumārā .
Your Name is the Life of the world.
ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਦੀਓ ਉਪਦੇਸਾ ਜਪਿ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur pūrē dīō upadēsā jap bhaujal pār utārā . rahāu .
The Perfect Guru has taught me, that by meditating, I cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||Pause||
ਤੂਹੈ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਸੁਨਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੂਹੈ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰਾ ॥
tūhai mantrī sunah prabh tūhai sabh kish karanaihārā .
You are Your own advisor; You hear everything, God, and You do everything.
ਤੂ ਆਪੇ ਦਾਤਾ ਆਪੇ ਭੁਗਤਾ ਕਿਆ ਇਹੁ ਜੰਤੁ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
tū āpē dātā āpē bhugatā kiā ih jant vichārā .2.
You Yourself are the Giver, and You Yourself are the Enjoyer. What can this poor creature do? ||2||
ਕਿਆ ਗੁਣ ਤੇਰੇ ਆਖਿ ਵਖਾਣੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
kiā gun tērē ākh vakhānī kīmat kahan n jāī .
Which of Your Glorious Virtues should I describe and speak of? Your value cannot be described.
ਪੇਖਿ ਪੇਖਿ ਜੀਵੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਵਡਾਈ ॥੩॥
pēkh pēkh jīvai prabh apanā acharaj tumah vadāī .3.
I live by beholding, beholding You, O God. Your glorious greatness is wonderful and amazing! ||3||
ਧਾਰਿ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸ੍ਵਾਮੀ ਪਤਿ ਮਤਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਪੂਰੀ ॥
dhār anugrah āp prabh svāmī pat mat kīnī pūrī .
Granting His Grace, God my Lord and Master Himself saved my honor, and my intellect has been made perfect.
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਬਾਛਉ ਸੰਤਾ ਧੂਰੀ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੬੩॥
sadā sadā nānak balihārī bāshau santā dhūrī .4.13.63.
Forever and ever, Nanak is a sacrifice, longing for the dust of the feet of the Saints. ||4||13||63||

ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਨਮਸਕਾਰੇ ॥

I bow in reverence to the Perfect Guru.
ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਸਭੇ ਕਾਜ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥
prabh sabhē kāj savārē .
God has resolved all my affairs.
ਹਰਿ ਅਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
har apanī kirapā dhārī .
The Lord has showered me with His Mercy.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
prabh pūran paij savārī .1.
God has perfectly preserved my honor. ||1||
ਅਪਨੇ ਦਾਸ ਕੋ ਭਇਓ ਸਹਾਈ ॥
apanē dās kō bhaiō sahāī .
He has become the help and support of His slave.
ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਕੀਨੇ ਕਰਤੈ ਊਣੀ ਬਾਤ ਨ ਕਾਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sagal manōrath kīnē karatai ūnī bāt n kāī . rahāu .
The Creator has achieved all my goals, and now, nothing is lacking. ||Pause||
ਕਰਤੈ ਪੁਰਖਿ ਤਾਲੁ ਦਿਵਾਇਆ ॥
karatai purakh tāl divāiā .
The Creator Lord has caused the pool of nectar to be constructed.
ਪਿਛੈ ਲਗਿ ਚਲੀ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
pishai lag chalī māiā .
The wealth of Maya follows in my footsteps,
ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਆਵੈ ॥
tōt n katahū āvai .
and now, nothing is lacking at all.
ਮੇਰੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਗੁਰ ਭਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
mērē pūrē satagur bhāvai .2.
This is pleasing to my Perfect True Guru. ||2||
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
simar simar daiālā .
Remembering, remembering the Merciful Lord in meditation,
ਸਭਿ ਜੀਅ ਭਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ॥
sabh jī bhaē kirapālā .
all beings have become kind and compassionate to me.
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰੁ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥
jai jai kār gusāī .
Hail! Hail to the Lord of the world,
ਜਿਨਿ ਪੂਰੀ ਬਣਤ ਬਣਾਈ ॥੩॥
jin pūrī banat banāī .3.
who created the perfect creation. ||3||
ਤੂ ਭਾਰੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੋਰਾ ॥
tū bhārō suāmī mōrā .
You are my Great Lord and Master.
ਇਹੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
ih punn padārath tērā .
These blessings and wealth are Yours.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਏਕੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
jan nānak ēk dhiāiā .
Servant Nanak has meditated on the One Lord;
ਸਰਬ ਫਲਾ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੧੪॥੬੪॥
sarab phalā punn pāiā .4.14.64.
he has obtained the fruitful rewards for all good deeds. ||4||14||64||

ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਸਰੋਵਰਿ ਨਾਤੇ ॥
rāmadās sarōvar nātē .
Bathing in the nectar tank of Ram Das,
ਸਭਿ ਉਤਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਕਮਾਤੇ ॥
sabh utarē pāp kamātē .
all sins are erased.
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਏ ਕਰਿ ਇਸਨਾਨਾ ॥
niramal hōē kar isanānā .
One becomes immaculately pure, taking this cleansing bath.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਕੀਨੇ ਦਾਨਾ ॥੧॥
gur pūrai kīnē dānā .1.
The Perfect Guru has bestowed this gift. ||1||
ਸਭਿ ਕੁਸਲ ਖੇਮ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
sabh kusal khēm prabh dhārē .
God has blessed all with peace and pleasure.
ਸਹੀ ਸਲਾਮਤਿ ਸਭਿ ਥੋਕ ਉਬਾਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sahī salāmat sabh thōk ubārē gur kā sabad vīchārē . rahāu .
Everything is safe and sound, as we contemplate the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ||Pause||
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਮਲੁ ਲਾਥੀ ॥
sādhasang mal lāthī .
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, filth is washed off.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਭਇਓ ਸਾਥੀ ॥
pārabraham bhaiō sāthī .
The Supreme Lord God has become our friend and helper.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
nānak nām dhiāiā .
Nanak meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥੧॥੬੫॥
ād purakh prabh pāiā .2.1.65.
He has found God, the Primal Being. ||2||1||65||

The Supreme Lord God has established that home, in which He comes to mind.
