ਜਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੇਲੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ ਵਚਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
jā har prabh bhāvai tā guramukh mēlē jinh vachan gurū satigur man bhāiā .
When it pleases the Lord God, he causes us to meet the Gurmukhs; the Hymns of the Guru, the True Guru, are very sweet to their minds.
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਸਿਖ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ਨਿਰਬਾਣ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
vadabhāgī gur kē sikh piārē har nirabānī nirabān pad pāiā .2.
Very fortunate are the beloved Sikhs of the Guru; through the Lord, they attain the supreme state of Nirvaanaa. ||2||
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
satasangat gur kī har piārī jin har har nām mīthā man bhāiā .
The Sat Sangat, the True Congregation of the Guru, is loved by the Lord. The Naam, the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is sweet and pleasing to their minds.
ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਪਾਪੀ ਜਮਿ ਖਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
jin satigur sangat sang n pāiā sē bhāgahīn pāpī jam khāiā .3.
One who does not obtain the Association of the True Guru, is a most unfortunate sinner; he is consumed by the Messenger of Death. ||3||
ਆਪਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਾਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥
āp kripāl kripā prabh dhārē har āpē guramukh milai milāiā .
If God, the Kind Master, Himself shows His kindness, then the Lord causes the Gurmukh to merge into Himself.
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬੋਲੇ ਗੁਣ ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੫॥
jan nānak bōlē gun bānī gurabānī har nām samāiā .4.5.
Servant Nanak chants the Glorious Words of the Guru's Bani; through them, one is absorbed into the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||4||5||

Goojaree, Fourth Mehl:
ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕਰਿ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਠ ਲਗਾਵੈ ॥
jin satigur purakh jin har prabh pāiā mō kau kar upadēs har mīth lagāvai .
One who has found the Lord God through the True Guru, has made the Lord seem so sweet to me, through the His Teachings.
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਸਭ ਹਰਿਆ ਹੋਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥੧॥
man tan sītal sabh hariā hōā vadabhāgī har nām dhiāvai .1.
My mind and body have been cooled and soothed, and totally rejuvenated; by great good fortune, I meditate on the Name of the Lord. ||1||
ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕੋਈ ਆਇ ਮਿਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵੈ ॥
bhāī rē mō kau kōī āi milai har nām drirāvai .
O Siblings of Destiny, let anyone who can implant the Lord's Name within me, come and meet with me.
ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਦੇਵਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਨਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mērē prītam prān man tan sabh dēvā mērē har prabh kī har kathā sunāvai .1. rahāu .
Unto my Beloved, I give my mind and body, and my very breath of life. He speaks to me of the sermon of my Lord God. ||1||Pause||
ਧੀਰਜੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਵੈ ॥
dhīraj dharam guramat har pāiā nit har nāmai har siu chit lāvai .
Through the Guru's Teachings, I have obtained courage, faith and the Lord. He keeps my mind focused continually on the Lord, and the Name of the Lord.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਚਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜੋ ਬੋਲੈ ਸੋ ਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
anmrit bachan satigur kī bānī jō bōlai sō mukh anmrit pāvai .2.
The Words of the True Guru's Teachings are Ambrosial Nectar; this Amrit trickles into the mouth of the one who chants them. ||2||
ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵੈ ॥
niramal nām jit mail n lāgai guramat nām japai liv lāvai .
Immaculate is the Naam, which cannot be stained by filth. Through the Guru's Teachings, chant the Naam with love.
ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜਿਨ ਨਰ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਮੁਏ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
nām padārath jin nar nahī pāiā sē bhāgahīn muē mar jāvai .3.
That man who has not found the wealth of the Naam is most unfortunate; he dies over and over again. ||3||
ਆਨਦ ਮੂਲੁ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਭ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਅਨਦੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥
ānad mūl jagajīvan dātā sabh jan kau anad karah har dhiāvai .
The source of bliss, the Life of the world, the Great Giver brings bliss to all who meditate on the Lord.
ਤੂੰ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੀਅ ਸਭਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥੪॥੬॥
tūn dātā jī sabh tērē jan nānak guramukh bakhas milāvai .4.6.
You are the Great Giver, all beings belong to You. O servant Nanak, You forgive the Gurmukhs, and merge them into Yourself. ||4||6||

ਗੂਜਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ਘਰੁ ੩ ॥
gūjarī mahalā 4 ghar 3 .
Goojaree, Fourth Mehl, Third House:
ਮਾਈ ਬਾਪ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਸਭਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਕੀਏ ॥
māī bāp putr sabh har kē kīē .
Mother, father and sons are all made by the Lord;
ਸਭਨਾ ਕਉ ਸਨਬੰਧੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਏ ॥੧॥
sabhanā kau sanabandh har kar dīē .1.
the relationships of all are established by the Lord. ||1||
ਹਮਰਾ ਜੋਰੁ ਸਭੁ ਰਹਿਓ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੀਰ ॥
hamarā jōr sabh rahiō mērē bīr .
I have given up all my strength, O my brother.
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਸਰੀਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har kā tan man sabh har kai vas hai sarīr .1. rahāu .
The mind and body belong to the Lord, and the human body is entirely under His control. ||1||Pause||
ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕਉ ਸਰਧਾ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਈ ॥
bhagat janā kau saradhā āp har lāī .
The Lord Himself infuses devotion into His humble devotees.
ਵਿਚੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਸਤ ਉਦਾਸ ਰਹਾਈ ॥੨॥
vichē grisat udās rahāī .2.
In the midst of family life, they remain unattached. ||2||
ਜਬ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥
jab antar prīt har siu ban āī .
When inner love is established with the Lord,
ਤਬ ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਈ ॥੩॥
tab jō kish karē s mērē har prabh bhāī .3.
then whatever one does, is pleasing to my Lord God. ||3||
ਜਿਤੁ ਕਾਰੈ ਕੰਮਿ ਹਮ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਏ ॥
jit kārai kanm ham har lāē .
I do those deeds and tasks which the Lord has set me to;
ਸੋ ਹਮ ਕਰਹ ਜੁ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਏ ॥੪॥
sō ham karah j āp karāē .4.
I do that which He makes me to do. ||4||
ਜਿਨ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਈ ॥
jin kī bhagat mērē prabh bhāī .
Those whose devotional worship is pleasing to my God
ਤੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੫॥੧॥੭॥੧੬॥
tē jan nānak rām nām liv lāī .5.1.7.16.
- O Nanak, those humble beings center their minds lovingly on the Lord's Name. ||5||1||7||16||
