ਕਰਿ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਭੁਖ ਜਾਇ ਲਹਿ ਮੇਰੀ ॥
kar sēvah pūrā satigurū bhukh jāi lah mērī .
He serves the Perfect True Guru, and his hunger and self-conceit are eliminated.
ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਕੀ ਭੁਖ ਸਭ ਗਈ ਤਿਨ ਪਿਛੈ ਹੋਰ ਖਾਇ ਘਨੇਰੀ ॥
gurasikhā kī bhukh sabh gaī tin pishai hōr khāi ghanērī .
The hunger of the Gursikh is totally eliminated; indeed, many others are satisfied through them.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਬੀਜਿਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਪੁੰਨ ਕੇਰੀ ॥੩॥
jan nānak har punn bījiā phir tōt n āvai har punn kērī .3.
Servant Nanak has planted the Seed of the Lord's Goodness; this Goodness of the Lord shall never be exhausted. ||3||
ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਮਨਿ ਵਾਧਾਈਆ ਜਿਨ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਡਿਠਾ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜੇ ॥
gurasikhā man vādhāīā jin mērā satigurū dithā rām rājē .
The minds of the Gursikhs rejoice, because they have seen my True Guru, O Lord King.
ਕੋਈ ਕਰਿ ਗਲ ਸੁਣਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਸੋ ਲਗੈ ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਮਨਿ ਮਿਠਾ ॥
kōī kar gal sunāvai har nām kī sō lagai gurasikhā man mithā .
If someone recites to them the story of the Lord's Name, it seems so sweet to the mind of those Gursikhs.
ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਪੈਨਾਈਅਹਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਤੁਠਾ ॥
har daragah gurasikh paināīah jinhā mērā satigur tuthā .
The Gursikhs are robed in honor in the Court of the Lord; my True Guru is very pleased with them.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਵੁਠਾ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੧੯॥
jan nānak har har hōiā har har man vuthā .4.12.19.
Servant Nanak has become the Lord, Har, Har; the Lord, Har, Har, abides within his mind. ||4||12||19||

ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵੈ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜੇ ॥
jinhā bhētiā mērā pūrā satigurū tin har nām drirāvai rām rājē .
Those who meet my Perfect True Guru - He implants within them the Name of the Lord, the Lord King.
ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਭੁਖ ਸਭ ਉਤਰੈ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥
tis kī trisanā bhukh sabh utarai jō har nām dhiāvai .
Those who meditate on the Lord's Name have all of their desire and hunger removed.
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਦੇ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ ਜਮੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
jō har har nām dhiāidē tinh jam nēr n āvai .
Those who meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har - the Messenger of Death cannot even approach them.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਨਿਤ ਜਪੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਤਰਾਵੈ ॥੧॥
jan nānak kau har kripā kar nit japai har nām har nām tarāvai .1.
O Lord, shower Your Mercy upon servant Nanak, that he may ever chant the Name of the Lord; through the Name of the Lord, he is saved. ||1||
ਜਿਨੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਤਿਨਾ ਫਿਰਿ ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜੇ ॥
jinī guramukh nām dhiāiā tinā phir bighan n hōī rām rājē .
Those who, as Gurmukh, meditate on the Naam, meet no obstacles in their path, O Lord King.
ਜਿਨੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਤਿਨ ਪੂਜੇ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਈ ॥
jinī satigur purakh manāiā tin pūjē sabh kōī .
Those who are pleasing to the almighty True Guru are worshipped by everyone.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਤਿਨ੍ਹਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਦ ਹੋਈ ॥
jinhī satigur piārā sēviā tinhā sukh sad hōī .
Those who serve their Beloved True Guru obtain eternal peace.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਤਿਨ੍ਹਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਈ ॥੨॥
jinhā nānak satigur bhētiā tinhā miliā har sōī .2.
Those who meet the True Guru, O Nanak - the Lord Himself meets them. ||2||
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹੈ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ ਹਰਿ ਰਖਣਹਾਰਾ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜੇ ॥
jinhā antar guramukh prīt hai tinh har rakhanahārā rām rājē .
Those Gurmukhs, who are filled with His Love, have the Lord as their Saving Grace, O Lord King.
ਤਿਨ੍ਹ ਕੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਕਿਆ ਕਰੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ॥
tinh kī nindā kōī kiā karē jinh har nām piārā .
How can anyone slander them? The Lord's Name is dear to them.
ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਸਭ ਦੁਸਟ ਝਖ ਮਾਰਾ ॥
jin har sētī man māniā sabh dusat jhakh mārā .
Those whose minds are in harmony with the Lord - all their enemies attack them in vain.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਖਣਹਾਰਾ ॥੩॥
jan nānak nām dhiāiā har rakhanahārā .3.
Servant Nanak meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the Lord Protector. ||3||
ਹਰਿ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਭਗਤ ਉਪਾਇਆ ਪੈਜ ਰਖਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜੇ ॥
har jug jug bhagat upāiā paij rakhadā āiā rām rājē .
In each and every age, He creates His devotees and preserves their honor, O Lord King.
ਹਰਣਾਖਸੁ ਦੁਸਟੁ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਹਲਾਦੁ ਤਰਾਇਆ ॥
haranākhas dusat har māriā prahalād tarāiā .
The Lord killed the wicked Harnaakhash, and saved Prahlaad.
ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀਆ ਨਿੰਦਕਾ ਪਿਠਿ ਦੇਇ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
ahankārīā nindakā pith dēi nāmadēu mukh lāiā .
He turned his back on the egotists and slanderers, and showed His Face to Naam Dayv.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਐਸਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਅੰਤਿ ਲਏ ਛਡਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੨੦॥
jan nānak aisā har sēviā ant laē shadāiā .4.13.20.
Servant Nanak has so served the Lord, that He will deliver him in the end. ||4||13||20||

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਵੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਆਉ ਘਰੇ ॥
mērē man paradēsī vē piārē āu gharē .
O my dear beloved stranger mind, please come home!
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਵਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਘਰਿ ਵਸੈ ਹਰੇ ॥
har gurū milāvah mērē piārē ghar vasai harē .
Meet with the Lord-Guru, O my dear beloved, and He will dwell in the home of your self.
ਰੰਗਿ ਰਲੀਆ ਮਾਣਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ॥
rang ralīā mānah mērē piārē har kirapā karē .
Revel in His Love, O my dear beloved, as the Lord bestows His Mercy.
ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤੁਠਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮੇਲੇ ਹਰੇ ॥੧॥
gur nānak tuthā mērē piārē mēlē harē .1.
As Guru Nanak is pleased, O my dear beloved, we are united with the Lord. ||1||
ਮੈ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਨ ਚਾਖਿਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਭਾਉ ਕਰੇ ॥
mai prēm n chākhiā mērē piārē bhāu karē .
I have not tasted divine love, O my dear beloved, within my heart.
ਮਨਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਨ ਬੁਝੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨਿਤ ਆਸ ਕਰੇ ॥
man trisanā n bujhī mērē piārē nit ās karē .
The mind's desires are not quenched, O my dear beloved, but I still hold out hope.
ਨਿਤ ਜੋਬਨੁ ਜਾਵੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜਮੁ ਸਾਸ ਹਿਰੇ ॥
nit jōban jāvai mērē piārē jam sās hirē .
Youth is passing away, O my dear beloved, and death is stealing away the breath of life.
ਭਾਗ ਮਣੀ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ ॥੨॥
bhāg manī sōhāgan mērē piārē nānak har ur dhārē .2.
The virtuous bride realizes the good fortune of her destiny, O my dear beloved; O Nanak, she enshrines the Lord within her heart. ||2||
