ਜਬ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jab n hōi rām nām adhārā .1. rahāu .
I have not taken the Lord's Name as my Support. ||1||Pause||
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਖੋਜਉ ਅਸਮਾਨ ॥
kah kabīr khōjau asamān .
Says Kabeer, I have searched the skies,
ਰਾਮ ਸਮਾਨ ਨ ਦੇਖਉ ਆਨ ॥੨॥੩੪॥
rām samān n dēkhau ān .2.34.
and have not seen another, equal to the Lord. ||2||34||
ਗਉੜੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਦੁਪਦੇ ॥
gaurī kabīr jī dupadē .
Gauree, Kabeer Jee, Du-Padas:
ਨਾ ਮੈ ਜੋਗ ਧਿਆਨ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
nā mai jōg dhiān chit lāiā .
I have not practiced Yoga, or focused my consciousness on meditation.
ਬਿਨੁ ਬੈਰਾਗ ਨ ਛੂਟਸਿ ਮਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
bin bairāg n shūtas māiā .1.
Without renunciation, I cannot escape Maya. ||1||
ਕੈਸੇ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥
kaisē jīvan hōi hamārā .
How have I passed my life?
