ਗਉੜੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ॥

Gauree, Kabeer Jee:
ਸੰਧਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਤ ਇਸ੍ਨਾਨੁ ਕਰਾਹੀ ॥
sandhiā prāt isnān karāhī .
Those who take their ritual baths in the evening and the morning
ਜਿਉ ਭਏ ਦਾਦੁਰ ਪਾਨੀ ਮਾਹੀ ॥੧॥
jiu bhaē dādur pānī māhī .1.
are like the frogs in the water. ||1||
ਜਉ ਪੈ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਤਿ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
jau pai rām rām rat nāhī .
When people do not love the Lord's Name,
ਤੇ ਸਭਿ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ਕੈ ਜਾਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tē sabh dharam rāi kai jāhī .1. rahāu .
they must all go to the Righteous Judge of Dharma. ||1||Pause||
ਕਾਇਆ ਰਤਿ ਬਹੁ ਰੂਪ ਰਚਾਹੀ ॥
kāiā rat bah rūp rachāhī .
Those who love their bodies and try different looks,
ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਦਇਆ ਸੁਪਨੈ ਭੀ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੨॥
tin kau daiā supanai bhī nāhī .2.
do not feel compassion, even in dreams. ||2||
ਚਾਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਕਹਹਿ ਬਹੁ ਆਗਰ ॥
chār charan kahah bah āgar .
The wise men call them four-footed creatures;
ਸਾਧੂ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਕਲਿ ਸਾਗਰ ॥੩॥
sādhū sukh pāvah kal sāgar .3.
the Holy find peace in this ocean of pain. ||3||
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਬਹੁ ਕਾਇ ਕਰੀਜੈ ॥
kah kabīr bah kāi karījai .
Says Kabeer, why do you perform so many rituals?
ਸਰਬਸੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਮਹਾ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਜੈ ॥੪॥੫॥
sarabas shōd mahā ras pījai .4.5.
Renounce everything, and drink in the supreme essence of the Lord. ||4||5||
