ੴ ਸਤਿਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik ōunkār satinām karatā purakh gur prasād .

ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀਉ ਕੇ ਚਉਪਦੇ ੧੪ ॥

ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਜਲਤ ਰਾਮ ਜਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
ab mōh jalat rām jal pāiā .
I was on fire, but now I have found the Water of the Lord's Name.
ਰਾਮ ਉਦਕਿ ਤਨੁ ਜਲਤ ਬੁਝਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
rām udak tan jalat bujhāiā .1. rahāu .
This Water of the Lord's Name has cooled my burning body. ||1||Pause||
ਮਨੁ ਮਾਰਣ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਬਨ ਜਾਈਐ ॥
man māran kāran ban jāīai .
To subdue their minds, some go off into the forests;
ਸੋ ਜਲੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੧॥
sō jal bin bhagavant n pāīai .1.
but that Water is not found without the Lord God. ||1||
ਜਿਹ ਪਾਵਕ ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਹੈ ਜਾਰੇ ॥
jih pāvak sur nar hai jārē .
That fire has consumed angels and mortal beings,
ਰਾਮ ਉਦਕਿ ਜਨ ਜਲਤ ਉਬਾਰੇ ॥੨॥
rām udak jan jalat ubārē .2.
but the Water of the Lord's Name saves His humble servants from burning. ||2||
ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਮਾਹੀ ॥
bhav sāgar sukh sāgar māhī .
In the terrifying world-ocean, there is an ocean of peace.
ਪੀਵਿ ਰਹੇ ਜਲ ਨਿਖੁਟਤ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੩॥
pīv rahē jal nikhutat nāhī .3.
I continue to drink it in, but this Water is never exhausted. ||3||
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਭਜੁ ਸਾਰਿੰਗਪਾਨੀ ॥
kah kabīr bhaj sāringapānī .
Says Kabeer, meditate and vibrate upon the Lord, like the rainbird remembering the water.
ਰਾਮ ਉਦਕਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਤਿਖਾ ਬੁਝਾਨੀ ॥੪॥੧॥
rām udak mērī tikhā bujhānī .4.1.
The Water of the Lord's Name has quenched my thirst. ||4||1||
