ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਘੜਿ ਭੰਨਿ ਸਵਾਰਹਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਸੁਹਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੫॥੬॥
tūn āpē hī ghar bhann savārah nānak nām suhāvaniā .8.5.6.
You Yourself create, destroy and adorn. O Nanak, we are adorned and embellished with the Naam. ||8||5||6||

mājh mahalā 3 .
Maajh, Third Mehl:
ਅੰਦਰਿ ਹੀਰਾ ਲਾਲੁ ਬਣਾਇਆ ॥
andar hīrā lāl banāiā .
Diamonds and rubies are produced deep within the self.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਰਖਿ ਪਰਖਾਇਆ ॥
gur kai sabad parakh parakhāiā .
They are assayed and valued tthrough the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
ਜਿਨ ਸਚੁ ਪਲੈ ਸਚੁ ਵਖਾਣਹਿ ਸਚੁ ਕਸਵਟੀ ਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥
jin sach palai sach vakhānah sach kasavatī lāvaniā .1.
Those who have gathered Truth, speak Truth; they apply the Touch-stone of Truth. ||1||
ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਵਣਿਆ ॥
hau vārī jīu vārī gur kī bānī mann vasāvaniā .
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those who enshrine the Word of the Guru's Bani within their minds.
ਅੰਜਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
anjan māh niranjan pāiā jōtī jōt milāvaniā .1. rahāu .
In the midst of the darkness of the world, they obtain the Immaculate One, and their light merges into the Light. ||1||Pause||
ਇਸੁ ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਪਸਾਰਾ ॥
is kāiā andar bahut pasārā .
Within this body are countless vast vistas;
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਅਤਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
nām niranjan at agam apārā .
the Immaculate Naam is totally Inaccessible and Infinite.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਪਾਏ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥
guramukh hōvai sōī pāē āpē bakhas milāvaniā .2.
He alone becomes Gurmukh and obtains it, whom the Lord forgives, and unites with Himself. ||2||
ਮੇਰਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਚੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏ ॥
mērā thākur sach drirāē .
My Lord and Master implants the Truth.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਸਚਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥
gur parasādī sach chit lāē .
By Guru's Grace, one's consciousness is attached to the Truth.
ਸਚੋ ਸਚੁ ਵਰਤੈ ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਈ ਸਚੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥
sachō sach varatai sabhanī thāī sachē sach samāvaniā .3.
The Truest of the True is pervading everywhere; the true ones merge in Truth. ||3||
ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ਸਚੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ॥
vēparavāh sach mērā piārā .
The True Carefree Lord is my Beloved.
ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਅਵਗਣ ਕਾਟਣਹਾਰਾ ॥
kilavikh avagan kātanahārā .
He cuts out our sinful mistakes and evil actions;
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਭੈ ਭਾਇ ਭਗਤਿ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥
prēm prīt sadā dhiāīai bhai bhāi bhagat drirāvaniā .4.
with love and affection, meditate forever on Him. He implants the Fear of God and loving devotional worship within us. ||4||
ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਸਚੀ ਜੇ ਸਚੇ ਭਾਵੈ ॥
tērī bhagat sachī jē sachē bhāvai .
Devotional worship is True, if it pleases the True Lord.
ਆਪੇ ਦੇਇ ਨ ਪਛੋਤਾਵੈ ॥
āpē dēi n pashōtāvai .
He Himself bestows it; He does not regret it later.
ਸਭਨਾ ਜੀਆ ਕਾ ਏਕੋ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਬਦੇ ਮਾਰਿ ਜੀਵਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥
sabhanā jīā kā ēkō dātā sabadē mār jīvāvaniā .5.
He alone is the Giver of all beings. The Lord kills with the Word of His Shabad, and then revives. ||5||
ਹਰਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਮੈ ਕੋਈ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
har tudh bājhah mai kōī nāhī .
Other than You, Lord, nothing is mine.
ਹਰਿ ਤੁਧੈ ਸੇਵੀ ਤੈ ਤੁਧੁ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ॥
har tudhai sēvī tai tudh sālāhī .
I serve You, Lord, and I praise You.
ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਲੈਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਾਚੇ ਪੂਰੈ ਕਰਮਿ ਤੂੰ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥
āpē mēl laih prabh sāchē pūrai karam tūn pāvaniā .6.
You unite me with Yourself, O True God. Through perfect good karma You are obtained. ||6||
ਮੈ ਹੋਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਤੁਧੈ ਜੇਹਾ ॥
mai hōr n kōī tudhai jēhā .
For me, there is no other like You.
ਤੇਰੀ ਨਦਰੀ ਸੀਝਸਿ ਦੇਹਾ ॥
tērī nadarī sījhas dēhā .
By Your Glance of Grace, my body is blessed and sanctified.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਾਰਿ ਸਮਾਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਹਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥
anadin sār samāl har rākhah guramukh sahaj samāvaniā .7.
Night and day, the Lord takes care of us and protects us. The Gurmukhs are absorbed in intuitive peace and poise. ||7||
ਤੁਧੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਮੈ ਹੋਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥
tudh jēvad mai hōr n kōī .
For me, there is no other as Great as You.
ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪੇ ਸਿਰਜੀ ਆਪੇ ਗੋਈ ॥
tudh āpē sirajī āpē gōī .
You Yourself create, and You Yourself destroy.
