ਚੰਦੁ ਸੂਰਜੁ ਦੁਇ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਰੂਪੁ ॥
chand sūraj dui jōt sarūp .
The moon and the sun are both the embodiment of light.
ਜੋਤੀ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਅਨੂਪੁ ॥੧॥
jōtī antar braham anūp .1.
Within their light, is God, the incomparable. ||1||
ਕਰੁ ਰੇ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
kar rē giānī braham bīchār .
O spiritual teacher, contemplate God.
ਜੋਤੀ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਧਰਿਆ ਪਸਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jōtī antar dhariā pasār .1. rahāu .
In this light is contained the expanse of the created universe. ||1||Pause||
ਹੀਰਾ ਦੇਖਿ ਹੀਰੇ ਕਰਉ ਆਦੇਸੁ ॥
hīrā dēkh hīrē karau ādēs .
Gazing upon the diamond, I humbly salute this diamond.
ਕਹੈ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਅਲੇਖੁ ॥੨॥੨॥੧੧॥
kahai kabīr niranjan alēkh .2.2.11.
Says Kabeer, the Immaculate Lord is indescribable. ||2||2||11||
