ਸਾਜਨੜਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਜਨੜਾ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਖਲੋਇਅੜਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਜਨੜਾ ॥
sājanarā mērā sājanarā nikat khalōiarā mērā sājanarā .
Friend, my Friend - standing so near to me is my Friend!
ਜਾਨੀਅੜਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਨੀਅੜਾ ਨੈਣ ਅਲੋਇਅੜਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਨੀਅੜਾ ॥
jānīarā har jānīarā nain alōiarā har jānīarā .
Beloved, the Lord my Beloved - with my eyes, I have seen the Lord, my Beloved!
ਨੈਣ ਅਲੋਇਆ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਸੋਇਆ ਅਤਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਗੂੜਾ ॥
nain alōiā ghat ghat sōiā at anmrit pri gūrā .
With my eyes I have seen Him, sleeping upon the bed within each and every heart; my Beloved is the sweetest ambrosial nectar.
ਨਾਲਿ ਹੋਵੰਦਾ ਲਹਿ ਨ ਸਕੰਦਾ ਸੁਆਉ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਮੂੜਾ ॥
nāl hōvandā lah n sakandā suāu n jānai mūrā .
He is with all, but he cannot be found; the fool does not know His taste.
ਮਾਇਆ ਮਦਿ ਮਾਤਾ ਹੋਛੀ ਬਾਤਾ ਮਿਲਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਭਰਮ ਧੜਾ ॥
māiā mad mātā hōshī bātā milan n jāī bharam dharā .
Intoxicated with the wine of Maya, the mortal babbles on about trivial affairs; giving in to the illusion, he cannot meet the Lord.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੂਝੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਸਭ ਕੈ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਖੜਾ ॥੧॥
kah nānak gur bin nāhī sūjhai har sājan sabh kai nikat kharā .1.
Says Nanak, without the Guru, he cannot understand the Lord, the Friend who is standing near everyone. ||1||
ਗੋਬਿੰਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਅਧਾਰਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦਾ ॥
gōbindā mērē gōbindā prān adhārā mērē gōbindā .
God, my God - the Support of the breath of life is my God.
ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਦਾਨ ਦਾਤਾਰਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ॥
kirapālā mērē kirapālā dān dātārā mērē kirapālā .
Merciful Lord, my Merciful Lord - the Giver of gifts is my Merciful Lord.
ਦਾਨ ਦਾਤਾਰਾ ਅਪਰ ਅਪਾਰਾ ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸੋਹਨਿਆ ॥
dān dātārā apar apārā ghat ghat antar sōhaniā .
The Giver of gifts is infinite and unlimited; deep within each and every heart, He is so beautiful!
ਇਕ ਦਾਸੀ ਧਾਰੀ ਸਬਲ ਪਸਾਰੀ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਲੈ ਮੋਹਨਿਆ ॥
ik dāsī dhārī sabal pasārī jī jant lai mōhaniā .
He created Maya, His slave, so powerfully pervasive - she has enticed all beings and creatures.
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਰਾਖੈ ਸੋ ਸਚੁ ਭਾਖੈ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥
jis nō rākhai sō sach bhākhai gur kā sabad bīchārā .
One whom the Lord saves, chants the True Name, and contemplates the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ ਭਾਣਾ ਤਿਸ ਹੀ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ॥੨॥
kah nānak jō prabh kau bhānā tis hī kau prabh piārā .2.
Says Nanak, one who is pleasing to God - God is very dear to him. ||2||
ਮਾਣੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਾਣੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਮਾਣੋ ॥
mānō prabh mānō mērē prabh kā mānō .
I take pride, I take pride in God; I take pride in my God.
ਜਾਣੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਣੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੁਘੜੁ ਸੁਜਾਣੋ ॥
jānō prabh jānō suāmī sughar sujānō .
Wise, God is wise; my Lord and Master is all-wise, and all-knowing.
ਸੁਘੜ ਸੁਜਾਨਾ ਸਦ ਪਰਧਾਨਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮਾ ॥
sughar sujānā sad paradhānā anmrit har kā nāmā .
All-wise and all-knowing, and forever supreme; the Name of the Lord is Ambrosial Nectar.
ਚਾਖਿ ਅਘਾਣੇ ਸਾਰਿਗਪਾਣੇ ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਭਾਗ ਮਥਾਨਾ ॥
chākh aghānē sārigapānē jin kai bhāg mathānā .
Those who have such pre-ordained destiny recorded upon their foreheads, taste it, and are satisfied with the Lord of the Universe.
ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਿਨਹਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਸਗਲ ਤਿਸੈ ਕਾ ਮਾਣੋ ॥
tin hī pāiā tinah dhiāiā sagal tisai kā mānō .
They meditate on Him, and find Him; they place all their pride in Him.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਥਿਰੁ ਤਖਤਿ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਸਚੁ ਤਿਸੈ ਦੀਬਾਣੋ ॥੩॥
kah nānak thir takhat nivāsī sach tisai dībānō .3.
Says Nanak, He is seated on His eternal throne; True is His royal court. ||3||
ਮੰਗਲਾ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਗਲਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੈ ਸੁਣੀਐ ਮੰਗਲਾ ॥
mangalā har mangalā mērē prabh kai sunīai mangalā .
The song of joy, the Lord's song of joy; listen to the song of joy of my God.
ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ਅਨਹਦ ਧੁਨੀਐ ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ॥
sōhilarā prabh sōhilarā anahad dhunīai sōhilarā .
The wedding song, God's wedding song; the unstruck sound current of His wedding song resounds.
ਅਨਹਦ ਵਾਜੇ ਸਬਦ ਅਗਾਜੇ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਜਿਸਹਿ ਵਧਾਈ ॥
anahad vājē sabad agājē nit nit jisah vadhāī .
The unstruck sound current vibrates, and the Word of the Shabad resounds; there is continuous, continual rejoicing.
ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਈ ॥
sō prabh dhiāīai sabh kish pāīai marai n āvai jāī .
Meditating on that God, everything is obtained; He does not die, or come or go.
ਚੂਕੀ ਪਿਆਸਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੁ ਨਿਰਗੁਨੀਐ ॥
chūkī piāsā pūran āsā guramukh mil niragunīai .
Thirst is quenched, and hopes are fulfilled; the Gurmukh meets with the absolute, unmanifest Lord.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਘਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੈ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਸੁਨੀਐ ॥੪॥੧॥
kah nānak ghar prabh mērē kai nit nit mangal sunīai .4.1.
Says Nanak, in the Home of my God, the songs of joy are continuously, continually heard. ||4||1||
