ਤੁਮਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਲਾਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥
tumarī kripā tē lāgī prīt .
By Your Grace, we love You.
ਦਇਆਲ ਭਏ ਤਾ ਆਏ ਚੀਤਿ ॥
daiāl bhaē tā āē chīt .
When You show Mercy, then You come into our minds.
ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰੀ ਤਿਨਿ ਧਾਰਣਹਾਰ ॥
daiā dhārī tin dhāranahār .
When the Support of the earth granted His Grace,
ਬੰਧਨ ਤੇ ਹੋਈ ਛੁਟਕਾਰ ॥੭॥
bandhan tē hōī shutakār .7.
then I was released from my bonds. ||7||
ਸਭਿ ਥਾਨ ਦੇਖੇ ਨੈਣ ਅਲੋਇ ॥
sabh thān dēkhē nain alōi .
I have seen all places with my eyes wide open.
ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
tis bin dūjā avar n kōi .
There is no other than Him.
ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭੈ ਛੂਟੇ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦ ॥
bhram bhai shūtē gur parasād .
Doubt and fear are dispelled, by Guru's Grace.
ਨਾਨਕ ਪੇਖਿਓ ਸਭੁ ਬਿਸਮਾਦ ॥੮॥੪॥
nānak pēkhiō sabh bisamād .8.4.
Nanak sees the wondrous Lord everywhere. ||8||4||
ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
rāmakalī mahalā 5 .
Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl:
ਦਾਵਾ ਅਗਨਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਰਿ ਬੂਟ ॥
dāvā agan rahē har būt .
Even in a forest fire, some trees remain green.
ਮਾਤ ਗਰਭ ਸੰਕਟ ਤੇ ਛੂਟ ॥
māt garabh sankat tē shūt .
The infant is released from the pain of the mother's womb.
ਜਾ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਭਉ ਜਾਇ ॥
jā kā nām simarat bhau jāi .
Meditating in remembrance on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, fear is dispelled.
ਤੈਸੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਰਾਖੈ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ॥੧॥
taisē sant janā rākhai har rāi .1.
Just so, the Sovereign Lord protects and saves the Saints. ||1||
ਐਸੇ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
aisē rākhanahār daiāl .
Such is the Merciful Lord, my Protector.
ਜਤ ਕਤ ਦੇਖਉ ਤੁਮ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jat kat dēkhau tum pratipāl .1. rahāu .
Wherever I look, I see You cherishing and nurturing. ||1||Pause||
ਜਲੁ ਪੀਵਤ ਜਿਉ ਤਿਖਾ ਮਿਟੰਤ ॥
jal pīvat jiu tikhā mitant .
As thirst is quenched by drinking water;
ਧਨ ਬਿਗਸੈ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਆਵਤ ਕੰਤ ॥
dhan bigasai grih āvat kant .
as the bride blossoms forth when her husband comes home;
ਲੋਭੀ ਕਾ ਧਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥
lōbhī kā dhan prān adhār .
as wealth is the support of the greedy person
ਤਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥੨॥
tiu har jan har har nām piār .2.
- just so, the humble servant of the Lord loves the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||2||
ਕਿਰਸਾਨੀ ਜਿਉ ਰਾਖੈ ਰਖਵਾਲਾ ॥
kirasānī jiu rākhai rakhavālā .
As the farmer protects his fields;
ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਇਆ ਜਿਉ ਬਾਲਾ ॥
māt pitā daiā jiu bālā .
as the mother and father show compassion to their child;
ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਜਾਇ ॥
prītam dēkh prītam mil jāi .
as the lover merges on seeing the beloved;
ਤਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਰਾਖੈ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਇ ॥੩॥
tiu har jan rākhai kanth lāi .3.
just so does the Lord hug His humble servant close in His Embrace. ||3||
ਜਿਉ ਅੰਧੁਲੇ ਪੇਖਤ ਹੋਇ ਅਨੰਦ ॥
jiu andhulē pēkhat hōi anand .
As the blind man is in ecstasy, when he can see again;
ਗੂੰਗਾ ਬਕਤ ਗਾਵੈ ਬਹੁ ਛੰਦ ॥
gūngā bakat gāvai bah shand .
and the mute, when he is able to speak and sing songs;
ਪਿੰਗੁਲ ਪਰਬਤ ਪਰਤੇ ਪਾਰਿ ॥
pingul parabat paratē pār .
and the cripple, being able to climb over the mountain
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਗਲ ਉਧਾਰਿ ॥੪॥
har kai nām sagal udhār .4.
- just so, the Name of the Lord saves all. ||4||
ਜਿਉ ਪਾਵਕ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੀਤ ਕੋ ਨਾਸ ॥
jiu pāvak sang sīt kō nās .
As cold is dispelled by fire,
ਐਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਛਤ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਬਿਨਾਸ ॥
aisē prāshat santasang binās .
sins are driven out in the Society of the Saints.
ਜਿਉ ਸਾਬੁਨਿ ਕਾਪਰ ਊਜਲ ਹੋਤ ॥
jiu sābun kāpar ūjal hōt .
As cloth is cleaned by soap,
ਨਾਮ ਜਪਤ ਸਭੁ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਭਉ ਖੋਤ ॥੫॥
nām japat sabh bhram bhau khōt .5.
just so, by chanting the Naam, all doubts and fears are dispelled. ||5||
ਜਿਉ ਚਕਵੀ ਸੂਰਜ ਕੀ ਆਸ ॥
jiu chakavī sūraj kī ās .
As the chakvi bird longs for the sun,
ਜਿਉ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਬੂੰਦ ਕੀ ਪਿਆਸ ॥
jiu chātrik būnd kī piās .
as the rainbird thirsts for the rain drop,
ਜਿਉ ਕੁਰੰਕ ਨਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਸਮਾਨੇ ॥
jiu kurank nād karan samānē .
as the deer's ears are attuned to the sound of the bell,
ਤਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਮਨਹਿ ਸੁਖਾਨੇ ॥੬॥
tiu har nām har jan manah sukhānē .6.
the Lord's Name is pleasing to the mind of the Lord's humble servant. ||6||
