ਪੰਚ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਖੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਮਾਰਿ ॥
panch singh rākhē prabh mār .
God killed the five tigers.
ਦਸ ਬਿਘਿਆੜੀ ਲਈ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ॥
das bighiārī laī nivār .
He has driven out the ten wolves.
ਤੀਨਿ ਆਵਰਤ ਕੀ ਚੂਕੀ ਘੇਰ ॥
tīn āvarat kī chūkī ghēr .
The three whirl-pools have stopped spinning.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਚੂਕੇ ਭੈ ਫੇਰ ॥੧॥
sādhasang chūkē bhai phēr .1.
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the fear of reincarnation is gone. ||1||
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ॥
simar simar jīvā gōvind .
Meditating, meditating in remembrance on the Lord of the Universe, I live.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਦਾਸੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਾਚਾ ਬਖਸਿੰਦ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kar kirapā rākhiō dās apanā sadā sadā sāchā bakhasind .1. rahāu .
In His Mercy, He protects His slave; the True Lord is forever and ever the forgiver. ||1||Pause||
ਦਾਝਿ ਗਏ ਤ੍ਰਿਣ ਪਾਪ ਸੁਮੇਰ ॥
dājh gaē trin pāp sumēr .
The mountain of sin is burnt down, like straw,
ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪੂਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੈਰ ॥
jap jap nām pūjē prabh pair .
by chanting and meditating on the Name, and worshipping God's feet.
ਅਨਦ ਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਓ ਸਭ ਥਾਨਿ ॥
anad rūp pragatiō sabh thān .
God, the embodiment of bliss, becomes manifest everywhere.
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਜੋਰੀ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਨਿ ॥੨॥
prēm bhagat jōrī sukh mān .2.
Linked to His loving devotional worship, I enjoy peace. ||2||
ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਓ ਬਾਛਰ ਖੋਜ ॥
sāgar tariō bāshar khōj .
I have crossed over the world-ocean, as if it were no bigger than a calf's footprint on the ground.
ਖੇਦੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਨਹ ਫੁਨਿ ਰੋਜ ॥
khēd n pāiō nah phun rōj .
I shall never again have to endure suffering or grief.
ਸਿੰਧੁ ਸਮਾਇਓ ਘਟੁਕੇ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
sindh samāiō ghatukē māh .
The ocean is contained in the pitcher.
ਕਰਣਹਾਰ ਕਉ ਕਿਛੁ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੩॥
karanahār kau kish acharaj nāh .3.
This is not such an amazing thing for the Creator to do. ||3||
ਜਉ ਛੂਟਉ ਤਉ ਜਾਇ ਪਇਆਲ ॥
jau shūtau tau jāi paiāl .
When I am separated from Him, then I am consigned to the nether regions.
ਜਉ ਕਾਢਿਓ ਤਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥
jau kādhiō tau nadar nihāl .
When He lifts me up and pulls me out, then I am enraptured by His Glance of Grace.
ਪਾਪ ਪੁੰਨ ਹਮਰੈ ਵਸਿ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
pāp punn hamarai vas nāh .
Vice and virtue are not under my control.
ਰਸਕਿ ਰਸਕਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਹਿ ॥੪॥੪੦॥੫੧॥
rasak rasak nānak gun gāh .4.40.51.
With love and affection, Nanak sings His Glorious Praises. ||4||40||51||
