ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl:
ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਜਪਉ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥
rain dinas japau har nāu .
Night and day, I chant the Lord's Name.
ਆਗੈ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਾਵਉ ਥਾਉ ॥
āgai daragah pāvau thāu .
Hereafter, I shall obtain a seat in the Court of the Lord.
ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਨ ਹੋਵੀ ਸੋਗੁ ॥
sadā anand n hōvī sōg .
I am in bliss forever; I have no sorrow.
ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਹਉਮੈ ਰੋਗੁ ॥੧॥
kabahū n biāpai haumai rōg .1.
The disease of ego never afflicts me. ||1||
ਖੋਜਹੁ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ॥
khōjah santah har braham giānī .
O Saints of the Lord, seek out those who know God.
ਬਿਸਮਨ ਬਿਸਮ ਭਏ ਬਿਸਮਾਦਾ ਪਰਮ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਪਰਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bisaman bisam bhaē bisamādā param gat pāvah har simar parānī .1. rahāu .
You shall be wonderstruck with wonder at the wonderful Lord; meditate in remembrance on the Lord, O mortal, and obtain the supreme status. ||1||Pause||
ਗਨਿ ਮਿਨਿ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਸਗਲ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥
gan min dēkhah sagal bīchār .
Calculating, measuring, and thinking in every way,
ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋ ਸਕੈ ਨ ਤਾਰਿ ॥
nām binā kō sakai n tār .
see that without the Naam, no one can be carried across.
ਸਗਲ ਉਪਾਵ ਨ ਚਾਲਹਿ ਸੰਗਿ ॥
sagal upāv n chālah sang .
Of all your efforts, none will go along with you.
ਭਵਜਲੁ ਤਰੀਐ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੨॥
bhavajal tarīai prabh kai rang .2.
You can cross over the terrifying world-ocean only through the love of God. ||2||
ਦੇਹੀ ਧੋਇ ਨ ਉਤਰੈ ਮੈਲੁ ॥
dēhī dhōi n utarai mail .
By merely washing the body, one's filth is not removed.
ਹਉਮੈ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਫੈਲੁ ॥
haumai biāpai dubidhā phail .
Afflicted by egotism, duality only increases.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਜੋ ਜਨੁ ਖਾਇ ॥
har har aukhadh jō jan khāi .
That humble being who takes the medicine of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har
ਤਾ ਕਾ ਰੋਗੁ ਸਗਲ ਮਿਟਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੩॥
tā kā rōg sagal mit jāi .3.
- all his diseases are eradicated. ||3||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
kar kirapā pārabraham daiāl .
Take pity on me, O merciful, Supreme Lord God;
ਮਨ ਤੇ ਕਬਹੁ ਨ ਬਿਸਰੁ ਗੋੁਪਾਲ ॥
man tē kabah n bisar gōpāl .
let me never forget the Lord of the World from my mind.
ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸ ਕੀ ਹੋਵਾ ਧੂਰਿ ॥
tērē dās kī hōvā dhūr .
Let me be the dust of the feet of Your slaves;
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਧਾ ਪੂਰਿ ॥੪॥੨੨॥੩੩॥
nānak kī prabh saradhā pūr .4.22.33.
O God, please fulfill Nanak's hope. ||4||22||33||
