ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਭਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਥਹੁ ਕਰਮਹੀਣ ਲੈ ਨ ਸਕਹਿ ਹੋਰ ਥੈ ਦੇਸ ਦਿਸੰਤਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੮॥
guramukh sēvak bhāi har dhan milai tithah karamahīn lai n sakah hōr thai dēs disantar har dhan nāh .8.
Through loving service, the Gurmukhs receive the wealth of the Naam, but the unfortunate ones cannot receive it. This wealth is not found anywhere else, in this country or in any other. ||8||

Shalok, Third Mehl:
ਇਸੁ ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਭਗਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਖਟਿਆ ਹੋਰੁ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਇਆ ॥
is jug mah bhagatī har dhan khatiā hōr sabh jagat bharam bhulāiā .
In this age, the devotee earns the wealth of the Lord; all the rest of the world wanders deluded in doubt.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
gur parasādī nām man vasiā anadin nām dhiāiā .
By Guru's Grace, the Naam, the Name of the Lord, comes to dwell in his mind; night and day, he meditates on the Naam.
ਬਿਖਿਆ ਮਾਹਿ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੈ ਹਉਮੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਇਆ ॥
bikhiā māh udās hai haumai sabad jalāiā .
In the midst of corruption, he remains detached; through the Word of the Shabad, he burns away his ego.
ਆਪਿ ਤਰਿਆ ਕੁਲ ਉਧਰੇ ਧੰਨੁ ਜਣੇਦੀ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
āp tariā kul udharē dhann janēdī māiā .
He crosses over, and saves his relatives as well; blessed is the mother who gave birth to him.
ਸਦਾ ਸਹਜੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਸਚੇ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
sadā sahaj sukh man vasiā sachē siu liv lāiā .
Peace and poise fill his mind forever, and he embraces love for the True Lord.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਮਹਾਦੇਉ ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਣ ਭੁਲੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਮੋਹੁ ਵਧਾਇਆ ॥
brahamā bisan mahādēu trai gun bhulē haumai mōh vadhāiā .
Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva wander in the three qualities, while their egotism and desire increase.
ਪੰਡਿਤ ਪੜਿ ਪੜਿ ਮੋਨੀ ਭੁਲੇ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
pandit par par mōnī bhulē dūjai bhāi chit lāiā .
The Pandits, the religious scholars and the silent sages read and debate in confusion; their consciousness is centered on the love of duality.
ਜੋਗੀ ਜੰਗਮ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਭੁਲੇ ਵਿਣੁ ਗੁਰ ਤਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
jōgī jangam sanniāsī bhulē vin gur tat n pāiā .
The Yogis, wandering pilgrims and Sanyaasees are deluded; without the Guru, they do not find the essence of reality.
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਦੁਖੀਏ ਸਦਾ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭੁਲੇ ਤਿਨ੍ਹੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
manamukh dukhīē sadā bhram bhulē tinhī birathā janam gavāiā .
The miserable self-willed manmukhs are forever deluded by doubt; they waste away their lives uselessly.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੇਈ ਜਨ ਸਮਧੇ ਜਿ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
nānak nām ratē sēī jan samadhē j āpē bakhas milāiā .1.
O Nanak, those who are imbued with the Naam are balanced and poised; forgiving them, the Lord blends them with Himself. ||1||

mah 3 .
Third Mehl:
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਜਿਸੁ ਵਸਿ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
nānak sō sālāhīai jis vas sabh kish hōi .
O Nanak, praise Him, who has control over everything.
ਤਿਸਹਿ ਸਰੇਵਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਹੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
tisah sarēvah prānīhō tis bin avar n kōi .
Remember Him, O mortals - without Him, there is no other at all.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
guramukh antar man vasai sadā sadā sukh hōi .2.
He dwells deep within those who are Gurmukh; forever and ever, they are at peace. ||2||

ਜਿਨੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਧਨੁ ਨ ਖਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਦੇਵਾਲੀਏ ਜੁਗ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
jinī guramukh har nām dhan n khatiō sē dēvālīē jug māh .
Those who do not become Gurmukh and earn the wealth of the Lord's Name, are bankrupt in this age.
ਓਇ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਸਭ ਜਗਤ ਮਹਿ ਕੋਈ ਮੁਹਿ ਥੁਕ ਨ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਪਾਹਿ ॥
ōi mangadē phirah sabh jagat mah kōī muh thuk n tin kau pāh .
They wander around begging all over the world, but no one even spits in their faces.
ਪਰਾਈ ਬਖੀਲੀ ਕਰਹਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਖੋਵਨਿ ਸਗਵਾ ਭੀ ਆਪੁ ਲਖਾਹਿ ॥
parāī bakhīlī karah āpanī paratīt khōvan sagavā bhī āp lakhāh .
They gossip about others, and lose their credit, and expose themselves as well.
ਜਿਸੁ ਧਨ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਚੁਗਲੀ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੋ ਧਨੁ ਚੁਗਲੀ ਹਥਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਓਇ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਥੈ ਜਾਹਿ ॥
jis dhan kāran chugalī karah sō dhan chugalī hath n āvai ōi bhāvai tithai jāh .
That wealth, for which they slander others, does not come into their hands, no matter where they go.
