Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:
ਹਰਿ ਖੋਜਹੁ ਵਡਭਾਗੀਹੋ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
har khōjah vadabhāgīhō mil sādhū sangē rām .
Seek the Lord, O fortunate ones, and join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਗੁਨ ਗੋਵਿਦ ਸਦ ਗਾਈਅਹਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੈ ਰੰਗੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
gun gōvid sad gāīah pārabraham kai rangē rām .
Sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe forever, imbued with the Love of the Supreme Lord God.
ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸੇਵੀਐ ਪਾਈਅਹਿ ਫਲ ਮੰਗੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
sō prabh sad hī sēvīai pāīah phal mangē rām .
Serving God forever, you shall obtain the fruitful rewards you desire.
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਜਪਿ ਅਨਤ ਤਰੰਗੇ ਰਾਮ ॥੧॥
nānak prabh saranāgatī jap anat tarangē rām .1.
O Nanak, seek the Sanctuary of God; meditate on the Lord, and ride the many waves of the mind. ||1||
ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਦੀਨਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
ik til prabhū n vīsarai jin sabh kish dīnā rām .
I shall not forget God, even for an instant; He has blessed me with everything.
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮੇਲਾਵੜਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਿਰੁ ਚੀਨ੍ਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
vadabhāgī mēlāvarā guramukh pir chīnhā rām .
By great good fortune, I have met Him; as Gurmukh, I contemplate my Husband Lord.
ਬਾਹ ਪਕੜਿ ਤਮ ਤੇ ਕਾਢਿਆ ਕਰਿ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਲੀਨਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
bāh pakar tam tē kādhiā kar apunā līnā rām .
Holding me by the arm, He has lifted me up and pulled me out of the darkness, and made me His own.
ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀਵੈ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਮਨੁ ਸੀਨਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੨॥
nām japat nānak jīvai sītal man sīnā rām .2.
Chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, Nanak lives; his mind and heart are cooled and soothed. ||2||
ਕਿਆ ਗੁਣ ਤੇਰੇ ਕਹਿ ਸਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
kiā gun tērē kah sakau prabh antarajāmī rām .
What virtues of Yours can I speak, O God, O Searcher of hearts?
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੈ ਭਏ ਪਾਰਗਰਾਮੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
simar simar nārāinai bhaē pāragarāmī rām .
Meditating, meditating in remembrance on the Lord, I have crossed over to the other shore.
ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਇਛ ਪੁਜਾਮੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
gun gāvat gōvind kē sabh ish pujāmī rām .
Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, all my desires are fulfilled.
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਧਰੇ ਜਪਿ ਹਰੇ ਸਭਹੂ ਕਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰਾਮ ॥੩॥
nānak udharē jap harē sabhahū kā suāmī rām .3.
Nanak is saved, meditating on the Lord, the Lord and Master of all. ||3||
ਰਸ ਭਿੰਨਿਅੜੇ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਰਾਮ ਸੰਗੇ ਸੇ ਲੋਇਣ ਨੀਕੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
ras bhinniarē apunē rām sangē sē lōin nīkē rām .
Sublime are those eyes, which are drenched with the Love of the Lord.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੇਖਤ ਇਛਾ ਪੁੰਨੀਆ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਜਨ ਜੀ ਕੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
prabh pēkhat ishā punnīā mil sājan jī kē rām .
Gazing upon God, my desires are fulfilled; I have met the Lord, the Friend of my soul.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਰਸ ਫੀਕੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
anmrit ras har pāiā bikhiā ras phīkē rām .
I have obtained the Ambrosial Nectar of the Lord's Love, and now the taste of corruption is insipid and tasteless to me.
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਲੁ ਜਲਹਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮੀਕੇ ਰਾਮ ॥੪॥੨॥੫॥੯॥
nānak jal jalah samāiā jōtī jōt mīkē rām .4.2.5.9.
O Nanak, as water mingles with water, my light has merged into the Light. ||4||2||5||9||
