Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਮਈ ॥
gōbind gōbind gōbind maī .
Chanting the Name of the Lord of the Universe, Gobind, Gobind, Gobind, we become like Him.
ਜਬ ਤੇ ਭੇਟੇ ਸਾਧ ਦਇਆਰਾ ਤਬ ਤੇ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਭਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jab tē bhētē sādh daiārā tab tē duramat dūr bhaī .1. rahāu .
Since I met the compassionate, Holy Saints, my evil-mindedness has been driven far away. ||1||Pause||
ਪੂਰਨ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਸੀਤਲ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਦਇਆਲ ਦਈ ॥
pūran pūr rahiō sanpūran sītal sānht daiāl daī .
The Perfect Lord is perfectly pervading everywhere. He is cool and calm, peaceful and compassionate.
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਅਹੰਕਾਰਾ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਗਲ ਖਈ ॥੧॥
kām krōdh trisanā ahankārā tan tē hōē sagal khaī .1.
Sexual desire, anger and egotistical desires have all been eliminated from my body. ||1||
ਸਤੁ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਦਇਆ ਧਰਮੁ ਸੁਚਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਤੇ ਇਹੁ ਮੰਤੁ ਲਈ ॥
sat santōkh daiā dharam such santan tē ih mant laī .
Truth, contentment, compassion, Dharmic faith and purity - I have received these from the Teachings of the Saints.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨਿ ਮਨਹੁ ਪਛਾਨਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਸਗਲੀ ਸੋਝ ਪਈ ॥੨॥੪॥੯੦॥
kah nānak jin manah pashāniā tin kau sagalī sōjh paī .2.4.90.
Says Nanak, one who realizes this in his mind, achieves total understanding. ||2||4||90||
