ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਾ ਨੋ ਦੇਇ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਥਿਰੁ ਘਰੀ ਬਹਾਲਿਅਨੁ ॥
har bhagatā nō dēi anand thir gharī bahālian .
The Lord bestows bliss upon His devotees, and gives them a seat in the eternal home.
ਪਾਪੀਆ ਨੋ ਨ ਦੇਈ ਥਿਰੁ ਰਹਣਿ ਚੁਣਿ ਨਰਕ ਘੋਰਿ ਚਾਲਿਅਨੁ ॥
pāpīā nō n dēī thir rahan chun narak ghōr chālian .
He does not give the sinners any stability or place of rest; He consigns them to the depths of hell.
ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਾ ਨੋ ਦੇਇ ਪਿਆਰੁ ਕਰਿ ਅੰਗੁ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਿਅਨੁ ॥੧੯॥
har bhagatā nō dēi piār kar ang nisatārian .19.
The Lord blesses His devotees with His Love; He sides with them and saves them. ||19||

ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹਾ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਰਖਾ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿ ॥
āpanē prītam mil rahā antar rakhā ur dhār .
Oh, if only I could meet my Beloved, and keep Him enshrined deep within my heart!
ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਹੇਤਿ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥
sālāhī sō prabh sadā sadā gur kai hēt piār .
I praise that God forever and ever, through love and affection for the Guru.
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਏ ਸਾਈ ਸੁਹਾਗਣਿ ਨਾਰਿ ॥੧॥
nānak jis nadar karē tis mēl laē sāī suhāgan nār .1.
O Nanak, that one upon whom He bestows His Glance of Grace is united with Him; such a person is the true soul-bride of the Lord. ||1||

Third Mehl:
ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
gur sēvā tē har pāīai jā kau nadar karēi .
Serving the Guru, the Lord is obtained, when He bestows His Glance of Grace.
ਮਾਣਸ ਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਭਏ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰੇ ॥
mānas tē dēvatē bhaē dhiāiā nām harē .
They are transformed from humans into angels, meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਅਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਤਰੇ ॥
haumai mār milāian gur kai sabad tarē .
They conquer their egotism and merge with the Lord; they are saved through the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਇਅਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ॥੨॥
nānak sahaj samāian har āpanī kripā karē .2.
O Nanak, they merge imperceptibly into the Lord, who has bestowed His Favor upon them. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਾਇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵੇਖਾਲੀਅਨੁ ॥
har āpanī bhagat karāi vadiāī vēkhālīan .
The Lord Himself inspires us to worship Him; He reveals His Glorious Greatness.
ਆਪਣੀ ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਆਪੇ ਸੇਵ ਘਾਲੀਅਨੁ ॥
āpanī āp karē paratīt āpē sēv ghālīan .
He Himself inspires us to place our faith in Him. Thus He performs His Own Service.
