ਪੇਖਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਗਸੇ ਆਪਿ ਲਏ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥੪॥੫॥੮॥
pēkh darasan nānak bigasē āp laē milāē .4.5.8.
Beholding the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, Nanak has blossomed forth; the Lord has united him in Union. ||4||5||8||

ਭੈ ਸਾਗਰੋ ਭੈ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
bhai sāgarō bhai sāgar tariā har har nām dhiāē rām .
The terrifying world-ocean, the terrifying world-ocean - I have crossed over it, meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਬੋਹਿਥੜਾ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਅਰਾਧੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਰਿ ਲਘਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
bōhitharā har charan arādhē mil satigur pār laghāē rām .
I worship and adore the Lord's Feet, the boat to carry me across. Meeting the True Guru, I am carried over.
ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਤਰੀਐ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਮਰੀਐ ਚੂਕੈ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣਾ ॥
gur sabadī tarīai bahur n marīai chūkai āvan jānā .
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, I cross over, and I shall not die again; my comings and goings are ended.
ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੈ ਸੋਈ ਭਲ ਮਾਨਉ ਤਾ ਮਨੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਣਾ ॥
jō kish karai sōī bhal mānau tā man sahaj samānā .
Whatever He does, I accept as good, and my mind merges in celestial peace.
ਦੂਖ ਨ ਭੂਖ ਨ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਸਰਣੀ ਪਾਏ ॥
dūkh n bhūkh n rōg n biāpai sukh sāgar saranī pāē .
Neither pain, nor hunger, nor disease afflicts me. I have found the Sanctuary of the Lord, the ocean of peace.
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਚਿੰਤ ਮਿਟਾਏ ॥੧॥
har simar simar nānak rang rātā man kī chint mitāē .1.
Meditating, meditating in remembrance on the Lord, Nanak is imbued with His Love; his mind's anxieties are dispelled. ||1||
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਜਨ ਵਸਗਤਿ ਕੀਨੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
sant janā har mantr drirāiā har sājan vasagat kīnē rām .
The humble Saints have implanted the Lord's Mantra within me, and the Lord, my Best Friend, has come under my power.
ਆਪਨੜਾ ਮਨੁ ਆਗੈ ਧਰਿਆ ਸਰਬਸੁ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਦੀਨੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
āpanarā man āgai dhariā sarabas thākur dīnē rām .
I have dedicated my mind to my Lord and Master, and offered it to Him, and He has blessed me with everything.
ਕਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਮਿਟੀ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਥਿਤਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
kar apunī dāsī mitī udāsī har mandar thit pāī .
He has made me His hand-maiden and slave; my sadness is dispelled, and in the Lord's Temple, I have found stability.
ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਵਿਛੁੜਿ ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
anad binōd simarah prabh sāchā vishur kabahū n jāī .
My joy and bliss are in meditating on my True God; I shall never be separated from Him again.
ਸਾ ਵਡਭਾਗਣਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਣ ਚੀਨ੍ਹੇ ॥
sā vadabhāgan sadā sōhāgan rām nām gun chīnhē .
She alone is very fortunate, and a true soul-bride, who contemplates the Glorious Vision of the Lord's Name.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਵਹਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਮਹਾ ਰਸਿ ਭੀਨੇ ॥੨॥
kah nānak ravah rang rātē prēm mahā ras bhīnē .2.
Says Nanak, I am imbued with His Love, drenched in the supreme, sublime essence of His Love. ||2||
ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਭਏ ਨਿਤ ਸਖੀਏ ਮੰਗਲ ਸਦਾ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਰਾਮ ॥
anad binōd bhaē nit sakhīē mangal sadā hamārai rām .
I am in continual bliss and ecstasy, O my companions; I sing the songs of joy forever.
ਆਪਨੜੈ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੀ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤੀ ਨਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
āpanarai prabh āp sīgārī sōbhāvantī nārē rām .
God Himself has embellished her, and she has become His virtuous soul-bride.
ਸਹਜ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਭਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਗੁਣ ਅਵਗਣ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥
sahaj subhāi bhaē kirapālā gun avagan n bīchāriā .
With natural ease, He has become Merciful to her. He does not consider her merits or demerits.
ਕੰਠਿ ਲਗਾਇ ਲੀਏ ਜਨ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿਆ ॥
kanth lagāi līē jan apunē rām nām ur dhāriā .
He hugs His humble servants close in His Loving Embrace; they enshrine the Lord's Name in their hearts.
ਮਾਨ ਮੋਹ ਮਦ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਆਪੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥
mān mōh mad sagal biāpī kar kirapā āp nivārē .
Everyone is engrossed in arrogant pride, attachment and intoxication; in His Mercy, He has freed me of them.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਭੈ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਆ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਾਜ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੩॥
kah nānak bhai sāgar tariā pūran kāj hamārē .3.
Says Nanak, I have crossed over the terrifying world-ocean, and all my affairs are perfectly resolved. ||3||
ਗੁਣ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਸਖੀਹੋ ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
gun gōpāl gāvah nit sakhīhō sagal manōrath pāē rām .
Continually sing the Glorious Praises of the World-Lord, O my companions; all your wishes shall be granted.
ਸਫਲ ਜਨਮੁ ਹੋਆ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਏਕੰਕਾਰੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
saphal janam hōā mil sādhū ēkankār dhiāē rām .
Life becomes fruitful, meeting with the Holy Saints, and meditating on the One God, the Creator of the Universe.
ਜਪਿ ਏਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਨੇਕ ਰਵਿਆ ਸਰਬ ਮੰਡਲਿ ਛਾਇਆ ॥
jap ēk prabhū anēk raviā sarab mandal shāiā .
Chant, and meditate on the One God, who permeates and pervades the many beings of the whole Universe.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮੋ ਪਸਾਰਾ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਸਰਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੀ ਆਇਆ ॥
brahamō pasārā braham pasariā sabh braham drisatī āiā .
God created it, and God spreads through it everywhere. Everywhere I look, I see God.
ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਏ ॥
jal thal mahīal pūr pūran tis binā nahī jāē .
The Perfect Lord is perfectly pervading and permeating the water, the land and the sky; there is no place without Him.
