ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਹੋਆ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੈਰੀ ਪਾਹੀ ॥
jin kau hōā kripāl har sē satigur pairī pāhī .
Those upon whom the Lord showers His Mercy, fall at the Feet of the True Guru.
ਤਿਨ ਐਥੈ ਓਥੈ ਮੁਖ ਉਜਲੇ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਪੈਧੇ ਜਾਹੀ ॥੧੪॥
tin aithai ōthai mukh ujalē har daragah paidhē jāhī .14.
Here and hereafter, their faces are radiant; they go to the Lord's Court in robes of honor. ||14||

Shalok, Third Mehl:
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਨ ਸੇਵਿਓ ਸਬਦਿ ਨ ਕੀਤੋ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
satigur jinī n sēviō sabad n kītō vīchār .
Those who do not serve the True Guru, and who do not contemplate the Word of the Shabad
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਨ ਆਇਓ ਮਿਰਤਕੁ ਹੈ ਸੰਸਾਰਿ ॥
antar giān n āiō miratak hai sansār .
-spiritual wisdom does not enter into their hearts; they are like dead bodies in the world.
ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਫੇਰੁ ਪਇਆ ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮੈ ਹੋਇ ਖੁਆਰੁ ॥
lakh chaurāsīh phēr paiā mar janmai hōi khuār .
They go through the cycle of 8.4 million reincarnations, and they are ruined through death and rebirth.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੋ ਕਰੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਏ ਸੋਇ ॥
satigur kī sēvā sō karē jis nō āp karāē sōi .
He alone serves the True Guru, whom the Lord Himself inspires to do so.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਿਚਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥
satigur vich nām nidhān hai karam parāpat hōi .
The Treasure of the Naam is within the True Guru; by His Grace, it is obtained.
ਸਚਿ ਰਤੇ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦ ਸਿਉ ਤਿਨ ਸਚੀ ਸਦਾ ਲਿਵ ਹੋਇ ॥
sach ratē gur sabad siu tin sachī sadā liv hōi .
Those who are truly attuned to the Word of the Guru's Shabad-their love is forever True.
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਮੇਲੇ ਨ ਵਿਛੁੜੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥
nānak jis nō mēlē n vishurai sahaj samāvai sōi .1.
O Nanak, those who are united with Him shall not be separated again. They merge imperceptibly into God. ||1||

Third Mehl:
ਸੋ ਭਗਉਤੀ ਜੋੁ ਭਗਵੰਤੈ ਜਾਣੈ ॥
sō bhagautī jō bhagavantai jānai .
One who knows the Benevolent Lord God is the true devotee of Bhagaautee.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ॥
gur parasādī āp pashānai .
By Guru's Grace, he is self-realized.
ਧਾਵਤੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਇਕਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਆਣੈ ॥
dhāvat rākhai ikat ghar ānai .
He restrains his wandering mind, and brings it back to its own home within the self.
ਜੀਵਤੁ ਮਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੈ ॥
jīvat marai har nām vakhānai .
He remains dead while yet alive, and he chants the Name of the Lord.
ਐਸਾ ਭਗਉਤੀ ਉਤਮੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
aisā bhagautī utam hōi .
Such a Bhagaautee is most exalted.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਸੋਇ ॥੨॥
nānak sach samāvai sōi .2.
O Nanak, he merges into the True One. ||2||

mah 3 .
Third Mehl:
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਕਪਟੁ ਭਗਉਤੀ ਕਹਾਏ ॥
antar kapat bhagautī kahāē .
He is full of deceit, and yet he calls himself a devotee of Bhagaautee.
ਪਾਖੰਡਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਪਾਏ ॥
pākhand pārabraham kadē n pāē .
Through hypocrisy, he shall never attain the Supreme Lord God.
ਪਰ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰੇ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਮਲੁ ਲਾਏ ॥
par nindā karē antar mal lāē .
He slanders others, and pollutes himself with his own filth.
ਬਾਹਰਿ ਮਲੁ ਧੋਵੈ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਜੂਠਿ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥
bāhar mal dhōvai man kī jūth n jāē .
Outwardly, he washes off the filth, but the impurity of his mind does not go away.
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਿਉ ਬਾਦੁ ਰਚਾਏ ॥
satasangat siu bād rachāē .
He argues with the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਦੁਖੀਆ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਰਚਾਏ ॥
anadin dukhīā dūjai bhāi rachāē .
Night and day, he suffers, engrossed in the love of duality.
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਚੇਤੈ ਬਹੁ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਏ ॥
har nām n chētai bah karam kamāē .
He does not remember the Name of the Lord, but still, he performs all sorts of empty rituals.
ਪੂਰਬ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੁ ਮੇਟਣਾ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥
pūrab likhiā s mētanā n jāē .
That which is pre-ordained cannot be erased.
ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵੇ ਮੋਖੁ ਨ ਪਾਏ ॥੩॥
nānak bin satigur sēvē mōkh n pāē .3.
O Nanak, without serving the True Guru, liberation is not obtained. ||3||

Pauree:
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਸੇ ਕੜਿ ਨ ਸਵਾਹੀ ॥
satigur jinī dhiāiā sē kar n savāhī .
Those who meditate on the True Guru shall not be burnt to ashes.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਸੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਹੀ ॥
satigur jinī dhiāiā sē tripat aghāhī .
Those who meditate on the True Guru are satisfied and fulfilled.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਤਿਨ ਜਮ ਡਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
satigur jinī dhiāiā tin jam dar nāhī .
Those who meditate on the True Guru are not afraid of the Messenger of Death.
