ਰਾਜ ਭੁਇਅੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ ਜੈਸੇ ਹਹਿ ਅਬ ਕਛੁ ਮਰਮੁ ਜਨਾਇਆ ॥
rāj bhuiang prasang jaisē hah ab kash maram janāiā .
Like the story of the rope mistaken for a snake, the mystery has now been explained to me.
ਅਨਿਕ ਕਟਕ ਜੈਸੇ ਭੂਲਿ ਪਰੇ ਅਬ ਕਹਤੇ ਕਹਨੁ ਨ ਆਇਆ ॥੩॥
anik katak jaisē bhūl parē ab kahatē kahan n āiā .3.
Like the many bracelets, which I mistakenly thought were gold; now, I do not say what I said then. ||3||
ਸਰਬੇ ਏਕੁ ਅਨੇਕੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਭ ਘਟ ਭੋੁਗਵੈ ਸੋਈ ॥
sarabē ēk anēkai suāmī sabh ghat bhōgavai sōī .
The One Lord is pervading the many forms; He enjoys Himself in all hearts.
ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਹਾਥ ਪੈ ਨੇਰੈ ਸਹਜੇ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਹੋਈ ॥੪॥੧॥
kah ravidās hāth pai nērai sahajē hōi s hōī .4.1.
Says Ravi Daas, the Lord is nearer than our own hands and feet. Whatever will be, will be. ||4||1||
ਜਉ ਹਮ ਬਾਂਧੇ ਮੋਹ ਫਾਸ ਹਮ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਬਧਨਿ ਤੁਮ ਬਾਧੇ ॥
jau ham bānhdhē mōh phās ham prēm badhan tum bādhē .
If I am bound by the noose of emotional attachment, then I shall bind You, Lord, with the bonds of love.
ਅਪਨੇ ਛੂਟਨ ਕੋ ਜਤਨੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਮ ਛੂਟੇ ਤੁਮ ਆਰਾਧੇ ॥੧॥
apanē shūtan kō jatan karah ham shūtē tum ārādhē .1.
Go ahead and try to escape, Lord; I have escaped by worshipping and adoring You. ||1||
ਮਾਧਵੇ ਜਾਨਤ ਹਹੁ ਜੈਸੀ ਤੈਸੀ ॥
mādhavē jānat hah jaisī taisī .
O Lord, You know my love for You.
ਅਬ ਕਹਾ ਕਰਹੁਗੇ ਐਸੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ab kahā karahugē aisī .1. rahāu .
Now, what will You do? ||1||Pause||
ਮੀਨੁ ਪਕਰਿ ਫਾਂਕਿਓ ਅਰੁ ਕਾਟਿਓ ਰਾਂਧਿ ਕੀਓ ਬਹੁ ਬਾਨੀ ॥
mīn pakar phānhkiō ar kātiō rānhdh kīō bah bānī .
A fish is caught, cut up, and cooked it in many different ways.
ਖੰਡ ਖੰਡ ਕਰਿ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਕੀਨੋ ਤਊ ਨ ਬਿਸਰਿਓ ਪਾਨੀ ॥੨॥
khand khand kar bhōjan kīnō taū n bisariō pānī .2.
Bit by bit, it is eaten, but still, it does not forget the water. ||2||
ਆਪਨ ਬਾਪੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਸੀ ਕੋ ਭਾਵਨ ਕੋ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
āpan bāpai nāhī kisī kō bhāvan kō har rājā .
The Lord, our King, is father to no one, except those who love Him.
ਮੋਹ ਪਟਲ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਬਿਆਪਿਓ ਭਗਤ ਨਹੀ ਸੰਤਾਪਾ ॥੩॥
mōh patal sabh jagat biāpiō bhagat nahī santāpā .3.
The veil of emotional attachment has been cast over the entire world, but it does not bother the Lord's devotee. ||3||
ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਭਗਤਿ ਇਕ ਬਾਢੀ ਅਬ ਇਹ ਕਾ ਸਿਉ ਕਹੀਐ ॥
kah ravidās bhagat ik bādhī ab ih kā siu kahīai .
Says Ravi Daas, my devotion to the One Lord is increasing; now, who can I tell this to?
ਜਾ ਕਾਰਨਿ ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਆਰਾਧੇ ਸੋ ਦੁਖੁ ਅਜਹੂ ਸਹੀਐ ॥੪॥੨॥
jā kāran ham tum ārādhē sō dukh ajahū sahīai .4.2.
That which brought me to worship and adore You - I am still suffering that pain. ||4||2||

ਜਬ ਹਮ ਹੋਤੇ ਤਬ ਤੂ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਬ ਤੂਹੀ ਮੈ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
jab ham hōtē tab tū nāhī ab tūhī mai nāhī .
When I am in my ego, then You are not with me. Now that You are with me, there is no egotism within me.
ਅਨਲ ਅਗਮ ਜੈਸੇ ਲਹਰਿ ਮਇ ਓਦਧਿ ਜਲ ਕੇਵਲ ਜਲ ਮਾਂਹੀ ॥੧॥
anal agam jaisē lahar mai ōdadh jal kēval jal mānhhī .1.
The wind may raise up huge waves in the vast ocean, but they are just water in water. ||1||
ਮਾਧਵੇ ਕਿਆ ਕਹੀਐ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਐਸਾ ॥
mādhavē kiā kahīai bhram aisā .
O Lord, what can I say about such an illusion?
ਜੈਸਾ ਮਾਨੀਐ ਹੋਇ ਨ ਤੈਸਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jaisā mānīai hōi n taisā .1. rahāu .
Things are not as they seem. ||1||Pause||
ਨਰਪਤਿ ਏਕੁ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨਿ ਸੋਇਆ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਭਇਆ ਭਿਖਾਰੀ ॥
narapat ēk singhāsan sōiā supanē bhaiā bhikhārī .
It is like the king, who falls asleep upon his throne, and dreams that he is a beggar.
ਅਛਤ ਰਾਜ ਬਿਛੁਰਤ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੋ ਗਤਿ ਭਈ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੨॥
ashat rāj bishurat dukh pāiā sō gat bhaī hamārī .2.
His kingdom is intact, but separated from it, he suffers in sorrow. Such is my own condition. ||2||
